On the surface this should be a no brainer and almost any average Joe, like myself, would leap at a stay at The Bellagio over Mirage. I have four comped nights for July 4-8 for both of them. They are both throwing in a $50 Food Credit which is non a factor but it will provide me with a couple buffets.

I have stayed at both and the rooms are not significantly different (assuming I can get the newer nicer rooms at Mirage which I always have). Otherwise the standard Bellagio room is better.

The coin toss factor here is Bellagio gambling (largely vp) vs Mirage pool. The gambling is better at The Bellagio but the pool at The Mirage kicks absolute ass and is my favourite pool in my 100 plus trips. Although I have not been to Mandalay Bay pool.....

I locked down the Bellagio yesterday but the Mirage offer came today. I am humming and hawing.

I will also use this thread as a notification to Shifter and Vegasbeejay that I will be in town those days. I was actually gonna shoot both of you a message/text. If you guys are in town I might have to come to MGM!

Bellagio - what are you even thinking about?! IMO, Mirage has gone downhill lately, and is too far down the Strip for the other places you like to frequent

I don't have July booked yet, so you never know?? Although, I usually don't go too many times in July / August due to the heat.

    You're going in August, bitch.

Bellagio, without a doubt. Mirage has lost its way.

I would say Bellagio without a doubt, but if you really love the pool that much and you're going to spend every day lounging by the pool, maybe you're willing to put up with the rest of it?

if I come in July it will be July 9 weekend for UFC 200, so that could overlap your trip by at least a night or 2.

Dammit! You talk like you know my gambling patterns! But you are right. Will be nice to go on an MGM comp and play strictly at MGMG props. All my favourite hotels are MGM props.

Don't sweat this. It's a slam dunk, just like you thought initially. Bellagio. All the way. It's no contest.

Late to party, but if you switch to Mirage now and lose your shirt you'll just be pissed off you switched
