Hey all, new guy here.

Going to be in Vegas for my 30th from June 11-18th. I have 10 people with me and we are looking to do a cabana at MGM pool on Sunday the 12th. Problem is none of us are staying at MGM, most are at my timeshare near by. What are the possible ways to get around this? What would I need to get into the pool? Just a room key from someone? Ultimately I may just book a room for the night in order to have access to the pool but i wondered about other methods.

they swipe your key at the gate and confirm it works before letting you in.

not sure about how to book a cabana without staying there, though. I'm sure a host could book you a cabana anyway.

 

Not sure about the regular pool, but you also certainly could book a cabana or other "reserved" spot at Wet Republic, if you're interested in a pool day club. That'll come with a minimum spend.

 

Book the cabana through the mgm concierge desk. I'm sure they happy to charge anybody who is willing to pay.

 

Wow thanks for the quick replies all. I will see what MGM says when i speak with them. Hopefully they let me book the cabana without staying.

As for Wet Republic, I am assuming that once I turn 30 I will have an instant disdain for any hard partying scene filled with young whippersnappers . We actually settled on the MGM pool (and also considered Liquid at Aria) as we are looking for a slightly more laid back atmosphere.

Just in case anyone else has this specific question the future, MGM confirmed you do NOT need to be a guest if you are getting a cabana.
