Not sure if this is the right category. I have a LOC at MGM and the last 2 trips they have to call a credit host to activate my line as their is a hold. Once the pit critter does, in a minute it is okd. Any ideas? They never say what just how much do you want?

On another note before they started verifying. Thy would just place they money out without asking for ID other than players card. And without verifying I had credit. I asked one time an they said "Why would you ask if you didn't have it?' lol

At mlife properties your license is scanned in. When you give your players card they can see your ID.

They are just checking to see if you are who you say you are, and that you still have credit available from your line. If you are a known player and the pit knows you well there are no delays

I just go to the HL room and get a marker before going to the tables. That way I am not being delayed.

there are different types of holds put on by different people.

if you cash out a large win, they generally put a hold on your line so that you have to play with that cash first before you can go back to using credit.

at the end of a losing trip where you didn't lose your whole line, they also tend to put a hold on your account so that you have to pay off that amount before you can come back and use the rest of your line.

that's different than the pit just verifying your available credit before playing. if they have to call a host to release the hold, that's different.

Ok. It must be a hold over from October. I had paid off what I owed from a September trip but it hadn't been 30 days. So they gave me a TTO.I won that trip. Then in January the hold was still there. One call and it was fine. And I won that trip too. And both Oct and Jan I was staying at Aria. Guess I will find out tonight but probably just a hold over from before. My line has been there for over 2 years.

Sounds like that was the reason. You win, you get a hold because if you were going to play more that trip after cashing out, they would want you to play the winnings first before issuing another marker.

Only at MGM though, at Wynn and Cosmo, I will take out more chips from the line if I didn't want to use my lucky chips or left them in the room and there's been no problems.

I thought they closed down your line for the trip if you cashed out all your winnings?
