So! The Masters is on and it will dominate my weekend TV viewing after a horrendous week at work (just one day to go!).

I decided to enter 3 different Draft Kings events with two different lineups.

I went heavy on the Brits this year as the tough conditions might play to their strengths , also I've got to show some patriotism!

    My lineups were as follows

    LINEUP X1

    Paul Casey
    Ian Poulter
    Justin Rose
    Graham McDowell
    Louis Oosthoozien
    Hazuki Matsuyama

    LINEUP X2

    Lee Westwood
    Paul Casey
    Louis Oosthoozien
    Davis Love III
    Zac Johnson
    Jordan Speith

Anyone else in any of the tournaments ?

both those line-ups look pretty solid right now!

    but it's early.

plenty of time for the impending Ian Poulter collapse.

    You beat me too it.
I'll throw Westwood in there too.
I'm in a pool where every player is assigned a dollar value and one has to pick 5 players without exceeding $1,000,000.
JS Rory and JayDay are almost $300,000 each. And the catch is the scoring is weighted on making the cut AND picking the winner among other things.
So if you have even one dog who shoots 80 you're done.
I risked a lot on Ricky, he was 280,000 or so. Might as wel have picked Woosnan.

Can anyone tell me why Bernhard Langer was out there yesterday using the long, anchored putter? I thought those had been outlawed for this year.

This year Langer has been anchoring at address and then he pulls it slightly off his chest before he makes the stroke. He has been called on it several times this year and tourney directors and the USGA have looked at video, talked to him quite a few times, and the conclusion seems to have been that he does not have it pressed against his body. Obviously in windy conditions his shirt might billow or flap and that has caused some of the calls and complaints.

Thanks, Ken. I just saw him putt the one time yesterday and it didn't really register with me until he was done.

You know, it's funny that they don't allow it on the Grumps Tour. I know the PGA Tour wants us to believe it is real tourney golf, one set of rules blah blah blah, and of course those guys can play at an extremely high level -- hell, Watson almost won the Open Championship and guys crossover and win. But they play three rounds, they get carts; let 'em anchor.

They can't. Unlike the use of carts and the number of rounds played, anchoring the club is specifically against the Rules of Golf (Rule 14-1b).

They can do whatever they want. No relief from sprinkler heads in the Open Championship, for instance. The Tour needs to accept that the Grumps is still a nostalgic entertainment, no matter how much money some of those guys make.
