I was going to post in superstitions but after all it is not really a superstition. It is my lucky charm, my good luck piece in general. Unlike a generic rabbits foot or gold charm or a something similar, In the late 90's, I have had a piece given to me by a family member that was created by a special and admired member of the NYC Asian community. It is personalized for me with my date of birth, etc. It is kept in my pocket at all times and has to remain between the bill it first touched, which you can see the reddish tint on it. I only take it out for certain occasions and to tell you the truth, it has not let me down. I been told to not abuse the power of it and use it sparingly, which I have done.

The few times I have used it. I had $200 on the Fortune 7 side bet on EZ Bac for a possible payout of $8k (40:1). I had the highest wager on Banker side and players had zero and Banker had blackjack. Players pull a 6 and I get the card for the Banker. I need a six. I looked at the side and it was a 3 line card. I took out my little charm and placed it on the table. Rubbed the card on top of it for a bit. I looked at one end and no pip in the middle. I rub the card over the top of my charm again. I peel the other side back and BOOM, a beautiful 6. $8k payout and numerous other players had Fortune wagers up also, yes sir.

Another time was at C.P. in Vegas. November of 2013. Late afternoon. Sat down and draw from my FM about $20k if I recall. I get into it at a table with my wife next to me. We are the only ones at this table, the rest of the room looked morbid, god I hate that crap, heads all down in their hands, etc. A few big rollers locking up a couple tables running back and forth losing money at each table they were playing of course. You can tell the aura just shit in the whole room. The dealer was one we have played with numerous times before. He shuffles and we order some drinks. Some lady immediately sits down and starts playing also. She is losing every hand, like the first 7 or 8 or so. I place a wager and every time she is wagering against me. I won the first 5 or so. Nothing huge, like $750 to $1k range, I think it was a $200 to $15k table. Anyways my wife looks at me and nods her head and says go for it. The other lady is on my side and telling me now, to wager first. All I remember is every side I choose, the dealer would flip high value cards over, like an 8 for the other side and I would return a 9. Maybe a 7 for the other side and I would return an 8. If the other side had a 9 we would tie.

In my experiences, this usually meant a turn for the worse, not better. Nothing great, 1's and 2's and 3's. Not easy to follow I remember. Well I was winning, I took out my lucky charm and placed it on my stack of yellow chips. I was playing with mostly purples and blacks. I pumped up my wager to between $5k and $8k a hand. The clear majority I touched would win, at least 7 out of 10. And it continued with high value cards on one side and we would tie or win or it was a straight Natural for us most of the time. Every time I would go over $10k wager I would lose. Got on a streak and pulled down some winnings. End of shoe was up over $100k probably closer to $125k. Thinking back it was great and the lucky charm was out. It was defentely a million dollar shoe and didn't do what we all dream of after years of playing. However, still good. Gave some back the next few days but still a good trip.

The few times I took it out, never let me down. There was one time a few years back I did a table max at C.P. for $20k and another table max at The Mirage. Few other times as well. Always worked, I cant abuse it and I always carry it, never left my pocket. When I rub it on a card it is batting 100% to date.

Glen, that sounds like a wonderful lucky charm! I also have an Asian themed charm. One day, I was rushing to work and ran into an older Asian guy wearing a monks robe and holding prayer beads. He smiled at me and handed me a golden card. As I looked at the card, he slipped a dark red beaded bracelet on my wrist with Chinese characters on the beads. Then the guy put out his hand for a donation. I reached into my wallet and grabbed what I thought was a $5. It was a $20 but the guy closed his hand around it while smiling and nodding then he strolled slowly away without saying a word. I figure if it could get that "monk" $20 in financial "blessings" from me, it might bring me some luck at the casino. Now I wear the bracelet on my right wrist every time I gamble. I haven't had the luck of Glen so far, but I feel better playing with it on.

I prefer cookie crisp. After it gets soggy in the milk.
