So I worked most of the day while the gf is off so of course she's telling me to cut out early blah blah. Well I get home and she barely has her hair dried. So I head to the bank get my money and now we ready finally. Hit up buc-es's in Baytown for some white trash dinner of chicken strips and the royal flushers country throw up gravy. Finally make it, and we get to our room.

There were a few characters at the bar, one guy kept feeding only $5 bills into caveman keno. He'd cash out after a few games, new $5 bill. He then consolidated his Titos. Had the bartender break a $20 and repeat.

Another note from last night, went to the new Modern Pantry. It's a new consolidation of their coffee shop and ice cream/sweets place along with added quick service food. Had the drunk gambling munchies so I destroyed a Cuban sandwich. For being 1am it was great.

Really want to hit the pool this morning but it's still 55F which makes me sad.

Pool is nice. Went kind of late. Water was really cold in the lazy river but the adult pool was better. Definitely looking forward to a summer trip. Here's a pic of the pool from the room.

Brutal. That's all that can describe today's video poker. As amazing as the quad aces w/ kicker and quad 2's are, the valleys are just as rough. I paid for all that positive variance today. After about 4 hours of video poker. I got one quad. ONE! Variance is a bitch. That's why DDB is the crack cocaine of video poker. That aces with a kicker just gave me the fix I needed. Chasing the dragon.

Dinner was at Jack Daniels grill. It was better than I expected to be honest. The ribs were smoky and tender and came with fries, slaw, beans and toast. Way more than enough food.

Something I've been noticing all weekend is people with large bags of food for take out. I'm guessing people are coming in the spend their food comps. Someone bought all of the chips while I was in line for my muffin. The bag was so full that chips were falling out and he didn't give a fuck. Free chips!

 

DDB can be a rough ride. Your girlfriend seems to be taking care of business, though. The way she hits those aces you might want to think of locking that down!
