I have many pictures from the CP 50th party. I think they did a relatively good job. I have a nostalgic thing about CP and I love the history of the place. It is one of the last of the old school strip hotels (besides Flamingo, of course, but that really needs a lot of work, imo). I love the property and their standard Laurel rooms are fairly large and beautiful. My boyfriend took me to Caesar's Palace for my 21st birthday, that was many moons ago. I will never forget the room. It had a raised platform round bed with aqua sheer curtains all around. It was so opulent. And I loved the roman theme. Caesar's has done a good job updating over the years. Sure, I've been to Wynn, Cosmo and MGM, (only the standard faire), as I pretty low roll compared to many people here, but Caesar's gives me what I want and they basically treat me better than I do myself. Call me a Dork or a Geezer, but I love it here.

About the party...
Food was decent for a banquet. Loved the seafood appetizers, shrimp cocktail, chilled lobster with Yazu eggs, and crab in some sort of cream and dill sauce. It was very good. Main course was Beef Wellington, again pretty good for Banquet food. (No photo) Dessert, well, it was overkill. I was so full from the Dinner, I couldn't do it, but here it is for those curious...

There was some entertainment and many awards given to the Icons of Ceasars. Many speeches, but it was good enough to hold me until almost the very end.

The Righteous Brothers sang a few songs during the Dinner Service, but I failed to get any pics. I know, I know.... #picordidnthappen but DS and Way2fast can vouch for me. I saw them both at the Party. Great to see DS again, she was very tired, go figure, she gets up before the crack of dawn and just goes and goes. She is like the energizer bunny. I also got to meet Way2fast and that was cool to meet another VB person.

They gave away some drawing prizes.

After Dinner, Calvin Harris came out for his award and they closed the party with Tony Bennett.
