Well the rest of the trip went pretty much like the first two days as far as gambling goes. It was brutal. Every session I played was a loser. I've never had a trip like that, we still had fun though.

It seems like LV really cleared out early on Monday. Monday started out with breakfast at the Aria cafe, I made a bad decision and changed up my order from the red velvet pancakes, I went with the 2 eggs (scrambled), breakfast meat and pancakes instead. The Aria cafe does not do scrambled eggs very well, next time back to the RV. We went out to the pool mid-afternoon on Monday and had no trouble getting chairs pretty much anywhere we wanted at either of the two regular pools. There were loungers in the sun or shade first and second rows. After a couple hours at the pool we took an Uber downtown. We walked around Fremont St a little bit and just took in the sites. We didn't play at all downtown just checked out the different hotels and gaming floors. It was nice to see, but confirmed that the strip is where we want to be. We made our way back to the Aria and took a little nap. After that we headed over to Cosmo to get a burger at Holsteins. I have to agree with those that say it is a very good burger. I was shocked that there was really no one in there for dinner around 8:00 on Labor Day. We got a table immediately and there were empty tables all around us. This seemed to be more a reflection of the number of people left in the city than the quality of the burger. Again there is nothing to talk about in the gaming realm, it flat out sucked.

Tuesday was our last day. Got up for breakfast and decided on Tom's Urban. Both were pleased with our selections, I had the 3 meat omelet my wife had the treehugger eggs benedict. We got the homemade pop tart as well. All very good. I wanted to get a Black Clover hat so we walked over to the Arena to see what time they opened up. It appears that they are only open if the arena itself is open so I guess I will have to head to their website. After walking the strip a little we decided to head out to the pool and save the rest of the gambling budget for after dinner. The pool was not overly crowded again, we were able to get two loungers in the shade where we wanted with no effort. There were plenty in the sun as well. We hung out for a while I read a good amount of my book while lounging. My wife was actually on her computer doing some work. It's funny the guy next to me was commenting that it was nice that we, the two men, could relax while our wives worked at the pool. She had her computer out too. After some pool time we decided to do a little shopping. My wife had to get a welcome to a new job gift for a new employee, yes she treats her staff extremely well, I would say too well. Of course while getting the gift she found some things for herself. I looked at a couple watches at the Tag store. If the trip was going better on the gambling side I might have pulled the trigger on a new Aquaracer with a tan nylon strap. After the shopping it was back to the room to clean up for dinner. After being gone all day and having the service light on the room it was disappointing to get back to find the room not made up yet. I would need to call before going to Carbone.

We were anticipating Tuesday night's dinner since we booked the trip. Carbone is really becoming one of our favorites on the strip these days and we always save it for the last night. We were not disappointed. We got everything to share and it was still way too much food. We ordered a half dozen oysters and the Caesar's Salad to start. We followed that up with the spicy rigatoni. The main was the veal parmesan and corn tartufato, the corn dish was something new for us and was so good. I knew to stay away from the bread early and passed up on it altogether, not that is not good, I just didn't want to waste space in my stomach. Neither of us are real fans of Italian desserts so we pass there. We love everything about Carbone, the service is excellent, the food is wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect. This was our 4th dinner there and can't wait for number 5.

After dinner it was time to see if we could recoup any of our losses. That didn't happen. We got a little play out of our last buy-ins, but not significantly more than previous tries. Oh well the gambling gods weren't with us this trip. We decided that we had had enough punishment and that a milkshake was in order. We made our way over to Shake Shack and got the Black and White, it was a nice evening so we just sat outside in The Park and enjoyed our milkshake. We leisurely made our way back to Aria and decided to call it a trip. We had an early morning as the car was coming for us at 5:30 and the flight home was scheduled for 7:00. I thought I should stop at the MLife desk to see if there was anything they could do for me.
I was directed to the casino hosts desk and met the host on duty. I wasn't really expecting anything since I barely had 3 hours of play per day because I got my ass handed to me. I was a little surprised however. I was only on two nights comped, probably because of the holiday weekend that's all my play really warrants, I am around $125 - $150 per roll player and like to stay at Aria so that's what I get. The host on duty brought up my account and say he could comp the other two nights and wipe out the resort fees and taxes. We talked for a little bit he asked how I booked my room and I said just on a marketing offer. He looked on the computer a little more and then offered me his card and said for me to cal him from now on. I know I am a small player on the Aria side of things but was happy with what they gave me.

That's all for now, I will probably come back with some more thoughts later but need to get some work done.
