Just booked the JW Marriott ...

    I only recently found out that Marriott owns Rampart, but leases the casino to a independent operator.

    I don't think Marriott owns the property, they've just never managed the casino. I could be wrong on the ownership thing, but only a few hotels/resorts in the larger portfolio are owned. Regardless, we've been staying there since the Regent days and love the hotel.

    Sucks that I am just missing you guys! I head back August 11th! Different trip - Star Trek Convention (my friend is in the cast of a few series and movies), and his daughter. I am playing tour guide for the last half of trip!
