First let me start by saying a big thanks to Shifter, if it wasn't for him starting this site, and holding that raffle I would not be headed to mecca this week!

What to expect from this TR you ask? Unlike @Hobofrank I actually intend on contributing to the report, and unlike @Gamesman I'll finish it!

Most of you, know that I sleep VERY little in Mecca, and I get hammered, so while I may not be able to put anything coherent together I will, at a minimum, snap a pic or two or at least drop you an F-Bomb or 500 to let you know I'm still chugging along...

This trip has a pretty full agenda, and wifey will be along to partake in the activities!

We leave Halifax Thursday in wee hours (think 4:00am ish) and head to mecca via Mtl and will arrive at 10:30-11:00am local time.

Thursday will be pool time and generally scoping out MGM to find my favorite machine and where I can easily gain access to my beverage of choice (Jordan Cabernet). We will be staying in a SPA suite (Thanks again shifter), pics to follow! Also, as this is my first stay at MGM grand, I'll be taking pics and giving a biased opinion of the property in general which will be highly influenced if I'm up or down

I usually take 10k USD as an initial BR but this trip I'm only taking 7k USD and 2k Canadian. I will have access (hopefully non required) to another 2k per day via my Canadian chequing account in case I go on tilt.....(again)!

Friday we have drinks at the mansion, dinner at the mansion (da wife and I are really looking forward to this, especially the vino Shifter chooses), and then heading to the club at Mandalay with some other degens (@Broncofn, @B S , @PayTriple ) to name a few!

Saturday will be pool time, craps roll in the afternoon, UFC 197 flight and then dinner at Craftsteak with the usual suspects.

Sunday will likely be a pool/spa day for the wife and basically chill (and by chill, I'll most likely be on tilt)

We head back to Halifax at 11:00pm on Sunday evening, but I've been known to change tickets before if things are going unexpectedly

Also as far as the gambling goes, I'll need about 6 hours sleep from Thurs - Sun night (wifey will try to make me sleep more), but outside of that the rest of the time I'll have a bet on the go somewhere!

Since this entire trip is being taken care of by @shifter, there are really no gaming expectations (from a host, as I do not have one at MGM and therefore no set Theo to maintain for future comps or anything). This translates into me being about to shut it down if I get a big hit early, cause If I'm down I'll prolly chase!

Most of you know, like Super Times Pay Multi line Video poker, so if you are at MGM I'll likely be slamming the buttons on some VP machine in the HL room for most of the weekend ($18-$30 a wack). Since most of the boys like the tables games, they will most likely convince me to play some BJ/Craps and baccarat but expect low levels for me on table games ($50-100 BG avg, $100+ at craps, and not sure about bacc yet)

The goal mainly is to have a great time, and I'm sure we will as usual...it would be great if I could come back close to even, and a winning trip would be a wicked outcome, but really I'm trying to avoid the dreaded 5 figure loss again which unfortunately seems to be the norm for me.

Sometimes the body shuts down on its own and sleep has to happen though....like that time I feel asleep with a piece of steak on a fork in my mouth at Kady's @ the Riv after a 72 hour bender in the 90's!
