Great write-up. Glad to hear that there are still Vegas folks who care about food porn.

way late to the show, i know...but...

You sat at The Troopers table! nice one...I was hoping he would try to do something this summer like get press credentials for the WSOP. I like his vlog alot and i would love a low key man on the street look around Poker Summer Camp since i will not be able to go out there.

Thanks for the great trip report!

Really is a solid pre-dinner happy hour spot. Before the douchebags roll in.

Not a bad view. I like the Eiffel Tower view better but the happy half hour on the High Roller is much more fun.

So I mentioned all the great service we received this trip. I believe if you treat people right, you will get the same in return. Sometimes a good tip helps too. I'm sure most of you are like - no kidding. Great service, freebies and upgrades seemed to happen to us just about everywhere we went.
Upgraded to fountain view at Bellagio.
Free champagne at Hyde first night.
Free round at Hyde second night.
Free dessert at Prime and at Joe's Prime.
Front row center at Raiding the Rock Vault.
Plus so many more great exchanges with servers, dealers, hotel personnel, taxi drivers etc.

All this just made a fun trip even better.

Thinking about checking out the High Roller next trip. What's the record for drinks in one revolution? I need something to shoot for.

The only issue we had all trip turned out ok in the end - monetarily anyway.

We had trouble with our AC all trip. We would set it low with fan on high and it would not maintain the room cool. My wife especially was annoyed after she showered and blew dry her hair. I'm sure the ladies understand. I just thought it could be cooler when sleeping.

I called the front desk twice but no one ever answered. I considered going to front desk and asking for a room change but that would have been such a headache. So I grabbed a maid and asked her if she knew any secret to getting AC to work better. She checked our setting and had no suggestion. She told us she would call it in to her supervisor who would pass it on to maintenance. That night we came back to room. Temp was no better but we did have a message on our phone asking us if maintenance had fixed the problem to our satisfaction. Ahh no, but it was late and it wasn't ruining out trip. Hey, it's vacation. No reason to bitch too much.

Next day, again I tried calling and could not get an answer. Every time we walked past front desk, we were in a hurry and/or didn't feel like dealing with it. So we just dealt with it for rest of stay. It wasn't miserable, just not as comfortable as it should be.

On last day I went down to check out. The front desk clerk asked me if I was happy with our stay. Again I didn't really complain I just mentioned how we were not happy with AC and could not reach anyone to get help with it. I wasn't expecting anything at this point. She start typing furiously on her keyboard. After about five minutes, she hand me our bill. She took off all of our resort fees and cut our only non comped room night fee in half. I was more than satisfied they did this for us. Kudos to Bellagio for trying to make it right.
