Many on here may be to young to remember this tragic case. CBS is putting a 6 hour mini-series documentary revisiting and re-enacting the case. It was one of the crimes of the century that remains unsolved. I am fascinated with crime drama like this and feel this is so sad they have not identified the killer.
This is kind of on the heels of the movie recently about creating a killer -- or something like that. Although I think that guy really did kill that poor girl. And he may very well get away with it in the end.

It may well be the "outside" guy everyone claims. But did you see the interview with her
brother? That dude is seriously weird. His attitude and smiling and smirking when talking
about her were seriously disturbing. So many people think the Mom did it. She was strange, but
that brother's attitude leaves me with the chills. Now I wonder if maybe it wasn't Mom or Dad - but
    a pissed off, psycho sibling.

Yeah, the brother did it. Exactly what I thought when i saw his interviews. Then of course the 911 call they just revealed the operator heard three people talking but he was asleep?

    Sick little fucker.

I still think the brother was involved somehow and the parents were protecting him.

Watching the 2nd episode. Clearly the family was influencing the district attorney at the time. The parents weren't formally interviewed by the police until 120 days after the murder. They were definitely given a lot of special privileges. The DA stated back in the 90s that after the Grand Jury convened there was not enough evidence to charge the Ramseys. The Grand Jury actually recommended indicting the parents but the DA refused.

Interesting to see how forensic science has advanced in he last 20 years.

I remember the Ramsey case not for its story, but as one of the sad first forays into the Nancy Grace culture we have become.

It was a sad case to be sure, but not really a crime of the century. Pity it is unsolved, but the US gets any number of unsolved cases. This one hit all the ratings hot buttons. Child. White. Grieving parents becoming suspicious parents. It helped teach America how fun it was to judge cases from your couch, and jump to conclusions based on video and pictures images of the people involved.

You mean Making a Murderer on Netflix?

As of today, 'that guy' is in prison on a life sentence without parole, and none of the internet sensation about him maybe being innocent seems to have done anything to change his circumstances, so I find it pretty unlikely he'll "get away with it".

I believe the conviction of the nephew was over turned recently. If his confession is inadmissible and his interrogation led to evidence found that convicted his uncle- potentially he could get off. There is a ton of physical evidence but stranger things have happened.

The confession was not used in the uncle's trial.

It also contradicted the physical evidence.

The uncle's best shot is finding a test for the blood that proves it was planted. But even if they prove that, going free is not a given.
