It's not Vegas...I'm going to Macau this weekend

Well...it's 9:50pm and there's work in the morning. Need to get the ferry back to HK and I keep missing the times for it!

Wandered into the Plaza Casino in the 4 Seasons again whilst looking for something to eat for dinner. Just stopped for a 'controlled' roll and the table was ok...not bad and not good. I got a run on the last roll however and managed to claw back an additional HK$11k.

So...I'm Basically down only US$2k now! In perspective, that is down just over half my initial bankroll for the trip. But as I said st the beginning of this thread, you need enough capital to last the minimum pass line bet. At least 100x (doesn't mean you have to play it of course).

Might sit down at a spot machine near the ferry pick up Point so I don't miss the boat!!

Tough trip because I didn't come prepared.

Macau...there is no 'fun' things to do unless you're here for a specific concert (seen Linkin Park and other bands pass through here).

The only real show is 'house of dancing water' and I've seen that at least 6 times when friends pass through town in Hong Kong.

Vegas still has the edge, and the varied activities for a wider enjoyment. You don't have to just go to a Sauna over here.

Hope you see you in April.

Umm....well...I seemed to have missed the ferry again. Too busy texting. So I played in the Venetian for a bit and clawed back a little bit more! Overall down HK$11k now which is 40% of bankroll. Includes purchase of food and bits and pieces along the way.

Will have to book a room and pay for it shortly as there's no way I'm
Making it back to HK now !!

Lessons from this weekend which we all know : you can't stay rooted to the spot for one table in one casino. It may affect comps ratings but ultimately it's about winning.

I wish I could end this thread on a happy
Note. Instead, it's a tale of woe and lack of disclipkine. To chase a small
Loss to create a large Deficit. I had every opportunity of getting out of town with a confirmed smaller loss hit instead I tried to get it all back, and lost double my starting bankroll.

Control is everything. I lacked it for a
Few times and gave back most of what I had recovered, and was in fact nearly completely out.

I think you need to come out to Vegas in April 2017 and give me some advice! Guess what I did....yes...I stayed on having missed a few ferries. Gave most it back whilst waiting for a pair of jeans to be altered in the Armani store. 5 hours.... Most expensive pair of Jeans I've ever bought. OK...that's just a gamblers excuse. I knew what I should have done. I didn't. That's terrible. Shows no control and even addiction Shocker. Very upset with myself (not for losing the money, but for losing control). Damn.....

Made it back home at 3am yesterday. 2 days overdue. That's not a player. That's a bum and I know it.

BALLS.....I'm going back to Macau on the 27th with my family in tow! 3 nights. I've promised the wife that I'll be a good boy and only play the slots with her later in the evening. Hmmm...let's see how long that lasts before I recall that I've dumped a load of cash in the Macau territory recently.

No Point opening up a new thread. I'll stick to this one, in case I've left anything out on Macau. No doubt, this time I'll be seeing CENTRAL and will be able to take pictures of the casinos in the main part of town. There are two restaurants to take note of in Macau: 1) The Golden Flower. It's a michelin grade Chinese Restaurant (which doesn't serve crap). So amazingly priced. About US$150 to US$200 for 3 people with drinks is a fair estimation. Michelin Star food..... The 2) is an Indian Michelin grade place call the Peacock in the Venetian. This time I'll ensure that I book both. Expect pictures of Macau's OLD town and other side to the gaming mecca. This is the difference between Macau and Vegas - Macau was here before the Casino's took over.

This time I'm fighting for my money. I want it back. But I will show more control than the crap I pulled last week.

After all, I need the cash back for a 3 week mega time in Vegas this coming April.

So, I've arrived in Macau. I had read up on "self control" and recognising when to press for winning and when to cut when losing. So...after some medicine reading I played my first session of the afternoon (after a lengthy check in process into the new St Regis Hotel on the Cotai strip (next to Holiday Inn, Conrad and Sheraton)). Down HK$5,000 after that session but remembered to take those remaining chips away and not thrown them down on the table without substance to back up that capital up. Good job too....after a dinner buffet with my relatives, I hit the craps table again at the Himalayas. Met a guy I had shot with in Singapore and his roll is next up. He gets me my money back that I had lost earlier in the day, plus enough to cover the buffet dinner I had just paid for the family. Just to give you a comparison, if you are looking to load up on buffets, this very average quality pace (Grand Orbit in the Cotai Shoppes Mall) costs US$300 for 5. Shit food for a shit price. You come to Macau to have high end Chinese Banquet type food and Macanese fare. That's what you should be eating.

Anyway, racked up a HK$100 (US$15) win for the day! And a win is NOT a loss. Tomorrow we will venture into CENTAL, and so I'll be able to show you what Central Macau looks like, and the Casinos that now dominate the skyline in this part of Macau.
