Sorry to be MIA lately. I was in China for business for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to sneak over to Macau from China. I didn't even get to visit Hong Kong either. Macau was a one hour boat ride over choppy water plus some extra time to clear immigration over there. Those agents are on such power trips with their absolute power. That is a story for another board.

Google was even censored over there. I had to VPN to get anything but it was so slow through VPN. In case anyone is traveling internationally and has free data roaming on their phone, using FaceTime Audio does not charge you any roaming minutes but only works for people using iPhones.

After 12 days in a restrictive country, I was ready for some freedom to sin. On the way back, I had an almost 2 hour layover in Vegas. Any ideas on how I spent it? $6k later I was contemplating whether or not to enact the airline's "flat tire" rule. Pics and details to follow.

Thanks PT for the suggestion but I only had 20-30 minutes when you factor in leaving the airport and coming back. Not enough time for you have any fun. Maybe a round trip limo ride but nothing more.

So the plane was late getting into LAS. I was down to 2 hours now before my connection. So I booked it to the Lyft pickup in the garage 2nd floor. Driver was there within 5 minutes and $13 ($18 with tip) later, I was at Planet Hollywood. I needed to go to a CET casino to keep my points active and PH was closest CET casino to airport. I know but it was a good enough reason to gamble instead of getting drunk in the crowded Centurion Lounge. Besides, I was already drunk from the international flight.

Arrived at PH with 90 minutes before my connecting flight. First $100 in and got a Top Dollar bonus on 2nd or 3rd spin. 35 credits times 2 for $350. Thought about leaving because I already renewed my Tier credits for another 6 months but decided to put in some play to generate some comps. I still had $2k in pocket change from trip and a few hundred Chinese RMB. I wondered if the slot machines would take Chinese RMB? Pic coming. Tapatalk needs me to sign in to post pic now. Can't remember PW.

I play on as I was up a little over $300 now since I got the bonus on the 2nd spin. I decided to go big or go home. Put another $100 into a $25 machine. FYI, Vegas does not like Chinese money. I tried to convert the remaining money I had i my pocket. First spin. Whiff. Second spin and I get a Top Dollar Bonus for 55 credits. The first three offers were 25, 30 and 25 credits so I wasn't expecting a hand pay. I told the slot attendant that I was on my way to catch a plane at the airport. They were awesome and paid me within 5 minutes.

That's truly some degen action right there. I admire the hell out of you for booking it to PH on the layover. Way to go!

Thanks for the degen encouragement. I don't think I really need it. I am actually trying to be less of a degen. I have been really good about booking wins after reading such good advice from seasoned degens on this board. I am up almost $30k for the year. Hoping to slow my gambling down this year to book the profit. Or I can swing bigger and hope for a bigger win at year end. Don't know year.

2nd spin. $1375. $1300 after tip. So I am up $1470 at this point.

You can't just sit and wait at a casino with your luggage and not play. So I walk around putting money into various high limit machines to hit and run. Up and down during those 5 minutes.

I decide to head back to the airport even thought I have TSA pre-check. Hit the restroom and then will call Lyft. After restroom, I decide summoned Lyft. It said 8 minutes out so I put some more money in instead of going downstairs.

$100 machine it is. I was going to walk with $1k and play with whatever was left. 2nd spin again. I hit the bonus on Wheel of Fortune. If I get the top prize, I was spending the night and getting a "flat tire" on way to airport. No such luck. Spin nets $4700.

I cancel the Lyft because this may take a while. To the staff in the high limit room, they took less than 5 minutes. $200 tip later, I was up $5770. I wanted a round number so decide to pocket $5k and play with rest.

A few minutes later, I turn that to $1130 so up $6200. Really thought about spending the night at this point but had read so many TR where people gave it back so I chickened out and called Lyft.
