I'm not sure what category to put this post in, so I chose this one.

Here's a question I sent to my host - haven't gotten a response yet - what do you all think about this?

    Dear Host,

As a host, are there rules you follow such as hosts are not supposed to provide their client’s information to any other client?

I’m on a lot of online gambling forums and have made friends over the years with many really good people. There’s one guy I’ve known since 2011 that also gambles at Foxwoods. His name is John Doe. I don’t think he’s a good person and we no longer speak. He lies a lot about his gambling and is really shady.

Anyways, recently, I found out he had his Foxwoods host (some Asian guy –I think it’s Host Name, but I could be wrong, I know it’s some guy that came over from Mohegan and brought John with him), look up my information in your system.

Basically, John Doe asked his host to find out if I was attending that slot tournament a few weeks ago. I guess the host told him I was going (and I was not), and John cancelled his reservation.

I’m concerned about that kind of personal information of mine being shared with other Foxwoods patrons. Is John also aware of my level of play, how much I gamble, etc.? What if John was an ex who was violent and wanted to find out where I’d be? What if he was someone looking to rob my house and was trying to find out if I was home or not?

I may be blowing this out of proportion, but I don’t want John Doe to ever again to have access to any of the information Foxwoods maintains on me.

Please let me know if there is someone else I should contact with this concern.

I would not be happy with a host sharing personal information. I'd escalate my concern above my host if I was sure he shared the info.

Thanks, newmans. And this same person, in the past, has shared that he's had his host look up other people's gambling records. One time he called out a guy who always boasted about slot wins, and came back and posted that his host looked up the guy, and the guy was not as big a player at Foxwoods as he claimed to be.

Yeah I must say that some hosts will do a lot for clients, and it is hard to prove. I admit I've had hosts look up people to make sure they weren't super sketchy...when they told me their gambling history etc...

Here's the response I got from my host:

    Hi Kim,
OMG…I am so sorry that happened….NO ONE is to have your personal information….I will relay this email to the powers that be.
But, you can certainly talk to whoever you wish.
Don’t forget to tell them how wonderful I am…lol…just kidding.

I have to mull it over. They say wait 24 hours before making these type of moves. :)

I find casinos to be VERY customer orientated. Whenever I have emailed about an issue, I get a response very quickly. Often it will be someone at an executive level that will take ownership of an issue. I'm CET and that's always how it's been. I've had property GMs reach out to another GM to smooth the way for me when I've come up against a wall....etc.
