Looks like I will be in the DC/VA/MD area next week and might have some time one afternoon/evening to get some gaming in. It will probably just be some VP action but enough to get a small fix.

Anyone have any recent experience with the Horseshoe in Baltimore? Is it worth about a 30-40 min drive for a a few hours of play?

.. the sad part, is I will be right across the street from the new MGM National Harbor Casino but it won't be open just yet. Dammm.

I've been. So has Chess and maybe Bronco.

It's hard for me to recommend it. The VP pay tables are horrid. And the clientele it attracts is not the greatest. Makes me a little depressed being in there.

I do recommend Baltimore though. The inner harbour is awesome and fella point is a great time.

Avoid Maryland Live at all costs though. That place is doubly bad.

Thanks. I guess if I get real bored I will take the drive but won't plan to stay long.

    It's worth a 30 min drive...

I agree with unda....id check it out and ear at guy fieri restaurant. Some hate it but I suggest the crab waffle fries and you only wanna get it as a meal.

VP machines got a massive reduction due to live horse betting which blows.

    MDL sucks balls!!

Havent been myself, I hardly ever go to our local places. Let me know which day or night you plan on going and I will try and go with you. I had to change my Naples trip so now im flying out on Sunday to meet the family there and I fly back next Wednesday.

Also, I think you are staying at the Gaylord right? Go and eat at Grace's Mandarin. My friend and his mother own it and is right on the water next to the Gaylord. Awesome food!!

I'm out of town next week, otherwise I could have met you guys.

The best game at Baltimore horseshoe is probably the $1 super times pay 9/5 DDB game which sits against the wall near the poker room. Anything less than $1 and the pay tables get worse. There used to be some full pay machines hidden in the corner but those disappeared a few months ago. The inner harbor area is nice though to walk around, but the casino is about a mile or so away so a short taxi ride there and back is probably cheaper than driving and parking there.

If you're looking for "full pay" vp action, there are two machines at maryland live in the high limit room that have full pay games at the $2 and $5 denomination. It would be about 20 minutes closer to you in DC, but it's in a mall parking lot.

It will probably be Wednesday afternoon/evening. I fly into national on Sunday. And yes staying at the Gaylord.

Will see if I get a chance to try Grace's... have a few cocktail parties. One at Cadillac Ranch and the other Google is doing and the last one they did they had Mark McGrath show up and perform with the Pop Rocks.

When do you get back on Wed? Might be pushing it.
