At KCI now. 6:30 flight to SD on time. Delayed 20 min in SD but hoping to touch down by 10:30 local. Thanks so much for all the stories and well wishes. Means a ton really.

Saw the Steelers game got moved to. Gonna be a real shit storm in KC Sunday.

Here's Sarah getting a reach around at the airport. Happens every time (damn piercings...)

Update, 9:30 PST....made it to San Diego. Check in agent in KC was awesome. Paid $40 upgrade to board early so we could sit together...glad we were able to do that. Since our original flight got canceled we're able to make changes for free, so we decided to extend our trip an extra day. Red Rock gave us an extra day for free (comp was originally for 3 days, so we just took them up on full offer). Win.

Realized as we're standing waiting for our flight that the agent last night didn't do our reservations correctly. She put me on the earlier flight to Vegas and Sarah on the last one. We realized right before boarding and they were able to get us both on together. I'm on the wing, but it works. Sucky part is one of our bags will be on the later flight. Figure I'll go get the car and come back and fetch Sarah. All the bad stuff now, not later, Amiright?

And SD is weird. We arrived Gate 1 and departed out of Gate 5, so we had to go through security again. Sarah got the full cavity search again. Not that she minds.

Lol, those agents sure love their job. Hope you made it to Vegas, and have a great time.

    We made it. I think.

After our 2nd bag arrived on the later flight (only 10 min behind us) we went out to the rental car shuttle. I kid you not it was at least a 45 minute what for a bus. It was insanely long. We made an executive decision to Uber to the facility. 6 bucks later we were there. No busses in sight.

Then the real fun began. The line at car company was at least an hour long. When you finally get to the desk they tell you they are out of cars and it's AT LEAST a 2 hour wait. Mind you, this is at 12:30 am and my reservation was for an hour earlier. Anyone remember that Seinfeld episode???

Sarah looked up on line and found Payless had cheap cars. We got a counter gal that was hysterically funny and fun to work with. Before we booked online we said we have a rate of $225...do you have the car? She said she did and since we were so nice she was looking for friends and family discounts to help us out. $150 later we had a car....I will deal with that other company here in a bit

So we finally get to Venetian and since it's so late they offered us a Hospitality suite for $ 100 a night. Uh, yeah. Place is gorgeous and huge. We literally ran the hot tub, and got into bed, having traveled 17 hours after fighting that allergic reaction the night prior. It's been a trip. But we are here.

Plan today is to find out about BJ tourney, eat at Giordanno's, see Daniel Tosh and watch some football. Oh and to gamble.

No more stories to tell. Lots more pics coming.

Wow, I can't imagine dealing with all you've been through in the last day. Hopefully all of the bad juju is long gone. Congrats on finally getting there and getting a good nights sleep.

    Looking forward to report

    Good luck this trip!!

That is an awesome comp at Red Rock. Would you mind sharing what you played to generate that comp.

I was really surprised by the comp too. I blew through about $700 in VP and not as much sniffed a quad. 5 and 10 play on .50. Also played several hours of pitch at $75 to $100 per hand. Nothing more.
