Hi guys so my question is, if I'm going to be playing in Baccarat at about $150.00-$200 a hand average bet, but then late I decide to just causally play some $25 blackjack, does that $25 blackjack hurt my overall average bet for the weekend? Should I just not give them my players card if I'm going to be playing lower than what I want my average to be? Or does every bit of play help with comps? Thanks guys!

I never get rated when messing around with green/black chips with a friend.

It just lowers my avg bet and doesn't really contribute any meaningful theo.

Hard to say. Shifter probably doesn't need the extra theo, pennies to his bennies ;) Others may argue to make sure you get it all. For a short period of time, maybe not, for a long period, I probably would.

Also consider where you're playing. If it's a players club that you don't care about why not get rated? I don't care if I only play for an hour or so at The D, I only get $5 free play and match play as it is. So the fact I might only play craps for an hour and then maybe 30 minutes of video poker doesn't matter to me. Now I did screw up and put my card in at the Cosmo a couple of days before I was to check in. I didn't play but maybe an hour. I hope I didn't mess up my offers too bad. I checked in less than 48 hours later and began play as normal.

Theres a huge difference in shifter green chipping compared to OP.

If OP has already triggered a gambling day one way or another, than the $25 will still help more than hurt as far as ADT goes. Plus at that low of a level, youre not going to get the red carpet rolled out anyways. May as well add more gambling time, since that also factors in to the algorithm for casinos rating players.

if you average 5k per hand for 4 hours, then mess around with $25 per hand for an hour, thats dumb. The spread is way too big. If youre going from $100-$200 to $25, it really still has you in the same bucket of players (low roller, do it)

Other thing to consider is depending on where you are playing $25 a hand may not even get rated. You may get the old oh thanks for the card but they don't enter anything. I know this is common practice in a lot of the higher end properties. Either way shouldn't hurt you to bad like TheCanoe spelled out.

I know whenever my host looks at my play he generally looks at average bet and hours played. I usually check in with him daily and as long as he sees consistent play he is good to go with everything.. As a note I generally travel solo, stay in a regular room or a small suite, and dont have crazy charges. It is my thought that as long as my host sees me as a 300-500 per hand player he will continue to take care of everything and take great care of me. If I start playing $25 BJ and my average drops to 100 bucks he is going to wonder what is going on.

Had this discussion with a PB at Aria last year when I said playing $100 three card poker with a friend would hurt my average.

He gave me the old"You do what you want but.........every $ goes into theo" blah blah blah.
Claimed he worked in marketing before the casino floor and a small bet session will not hurt your comps.
I still hesitate to give my card and my avg is under $1K

I was playing BJ recently with a couple of people. 1 person was betting significantly more that the other 2. He was coloring up and locking in his win. Someone asked him to continue to play, but play small. The big player asked the PB to not rate him on the small bets. The PB refused. I've never seen that before.
