I'm going to start off pasting my TR from the other board, But I'll have to update the images at a later time.

Then I'll update it with my new one.

I've decided to do a running TR for 2016 for my local casinos. I most only hit one casino locally, so every post may be about Harrah's Rincon Southern California. We have about six local casinos and a few card houses in the area.

I prefer Harrahs because it's affiliated with CET. I normally get $100+ in FreePlay every day, plus $100+ in weekly FP. Sundays it's only slot play and I usually am just a table player. So I run through the FP enough to cash out. On some Saturdays there's a giveaway, sometimes in lieu of the FP.

I usually only go for a few hours then head home. Tonight I went to Harrah's for about two hours. The plan was to limit myself to $1,000. I say things like that, but then usually use as much as I feel like until I'm "done" gambling. I went a couple weeks ago and was going to limit myself to $1K, then bought in twice more for a total of $3K and finally cashed out a win; but back to tonight.

I went up there after work for a bit over an hour. Got there around 5:30. I've started to delve a bit into baccarat. It's oddly addictive. I'm not sure of the math behind it, but our local doesn't take a 5% vig on Banker. Instead it has a Dragon 7 and a 1 Up. The Dragon pays 40:1 and the banker needs to win with a seven and three cards. It seems to hit 2-4 times per eight deck shoe.

I walked into the HL room to one of the two baccarat tables. I looked at the charts for each and saw one table had just hit Player three times. So I tossed $600 out there and put $150 on Banker. Banker hit. I thought it might hit again, but changed my bet to $100. Won again.

Looking at this chart, I only played 13 hands.

But I bought in with $600 and walked away with this.

I decided to go get my FP then play some craps. I looked at the two open tables. One seemed boring and the other was on their fourth point. I didn't want to interrupt though so I looked for a quick game of BJ. I played a dozen or so hands, sometimes two at a time and jumping back to one. Left the table with this.

Now time for craps. I don't like to come in during a shooter, but sometimes I will if I'm really anxious. This time the player crapped out one roll into me walking up. I usually play across, hardways, and max odds. My starting bet is about $500 and goes up from there.

First two shooters were quick to hit point seven out. Then another local that I've played with was up. He did pretty well and got some money back for us.

He hit two points, but a bunch of numbers and some hard ways. I usually have at least $25/5 out there on the hardways. I'll go up if the point is an even number.

Then I shot, stayed about even. Then the shooter next to me hit a hardways and crapped out. I was going to leave and it was suggested that I stay for one more shooter, so I did.

I left craps up about $1,800, so at $2,400 or so. I still had a pink chip in my pocket not shown in that last photo.

I was ready to leave, but swung by baccarat one more time. The count was 19-21, and no Dragon 7s had hit. Knowing that one was likely coming soon, I sat down. I went up and down a little while playing a $25 dragon bet. I had a $200 Banker and a Dragon bet. I asked house to open Player first. A 10-3. Then I flip mine, one on top of the other.
I see King and 3. Player pulls one, and it's a Queen. This is looking good.

I look around, only one other guy has a Dragon bet, and for only $5. I sarcastically say, "Need a four?" Everyone nods. I glance at the card by lifting the corner. I can't see anything. I turn the card and look again. I see it, look at the table, and flip my beautiful four for a 40:1 win.

Cashed out for $3,441, up about $2,800 after tipping about $400. I played for about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

And for those wondering what craps is like with cards, here are the cards.

A player throws one green die and one red. They dice correspond to cards that get flipped. It essentially eliminates dice setting, but the odds are mathematically the same.

Successful start to 2016 at my local. I'll be in Vegas on the 17th for a week. Hopefully I can keep the wins rolling.

And I had to start with the above post because I'm going to Vegas this weekend. What that means is I'm doing a warm up trip to my local today for a few hours.

    Tasks for today:
    Mow Lawn
    Shower
    Get hair cut
    Gambol
    Walk dogs

I just mowed. Jumping in the shower now and then off to get a haircut.

Whew, that was a quick session at the local. I was planning a stop loss at $1K, but that often doesn't hold. However, this time I didn't need it.

Started with some baccarat and just a few hands in hit a Dragon 7.

Played a few more hands and decided I'd call it and move to the next game as soon as I didn't win a hand.

I pushed a hand, walked away with this.

Not bad for a buy in of $300.

I go grab my free play of $325.

Next game is craps. That's where I'm most well known at my local. As I walk up to one of the two craps tables, one of my dealer shakes his head and directs me to the table behind him, the players are yelling excitedly about another point hitting.

As I walk up I see that a fourth point has hit and it's off. I don't like to come in mid roll, so even though it's going well I hold off. They tell me that he's the third shooter in five to hit four points. This both makes me nervous and excited.

I wait a few rolls, he sevens out. I buy in with $600 in chips and my FP.

I typically play across at about $270, $25 pass, full odds, $25/5 on each hardway (press a little if the point is even), and intermittently play the field.

The guy is shooting well hit numbers, but doesn't hit the point. I've got $50/5 on my hard ten. Hard eight hits twice, and and eight hits several times.

The dude rolls for 20 minutes never hitting the point. He hit two hard eights, and probably 20 numbers.

My new strategy this year is to leave the table while it's going well. I'd rather take the guaranteed win as opposed to possibly winning more (or losing) by staying.

So when he sevens out I color up and go for some food.

I'm not normally a fan of buffets. I like someone to bring me food and I just want to sit there and relax while eating. But I really like my local's buffet.

I grabbed some pork egg rolls, sushi, candied yams, orange chicken, some pork thing, and Swedish meatballs.

After eating I decided to hit the BJ table. BJ used to be my go to game. But I'm uncomfortable betting large amounts at BJ and the theo generated sucks on BJ. So I play more baccarat and craps now than BJ.

The thing I like about baccarat it's feasible to win every hand if you guess right. You can't do that in BJ, unless of course you vary the number of hands that you're playing. So I only play one to three hands now when I play.

I went up and down a little but it was too much like work and I lost a couple painful hands, I think because I made a mistake. Should I have hit my 13 against a twelve?

Anyway, one a final hand of two 18s against a nine up and eight under. Colored up and cashed out up just over $2,700.

I tipped about $100 between craps, lunch, water, and BJ. I neglected to tip during baccarat, so I'll have to get them next time.

I should add that Dragon hadn't hit for 38 hands when I sat down. It hit at the 4th hand.

The only thing I can't stand about Rincon is the distinct smell of cow shit for about the last 20 minutes of the drive in there. Do you ever go to Barona? They have higher limits on both BJ and bacc than Rincon and IMO it's a better run casino. Even though they got rid of their single deck BJ game which was the lowest-edge BJ game in the US, that I beat them for over $100K on in 2 sessions, they still have a good double deck game (they also have table-side dining, which is nice for a long martingale session at baccarat - they roll your food right up to your game).

I do understand the lure of freeplay and the total rewards system...makes sense for you to go there if you play at their properties. But if you haven't, you should check out Barona.
