    Hey everyone,
Going to Vegas for my brothers 21st bday Jan 6-10 staying at Caesar. I plan to bring 4k for gambling, my play time well average about 8-12 hours per day and then off to night club/strip club.... The feedback I'm wanting is how much should I be playing per hand (table games) and how much per hour? Any Feedback would be awesome.

    Thank You

1k is a good daily bankroll I think as long as you win something to play with. 12 hours of solid blackjack can suck up your money fast if you don't win anything.

So there is actually a mathematically correct answer to your question. The Wizard of Odds created a blackjack

The table is a bit confusing, but I'll simplify it for your situation.

Basically you have 4 days of gambling and you're saying you're going to play 8 hours per day. I doubt you'll get a full 8 hours per day, but in round numbers, let's assume you get 3,000 hands in (just shy of 100 hands per hour x 8 hours per day x 4 days, which is 3200 hands). The chart says that to have a risk of ruin (the risk of running out of money) of 10% over 3,000 hands, you need to have 116 units. So take your bankroll of $4k and divide it by 116, and you get roughly $35. So if you keep your bet to an average of $35, you have a 90% chance of not losing your entire $4k before your trip is over.

    Have fun!

Couple of other things to consider based on the good advice already given above:

    1) Reduce your hands per hour by finding slower games - more players at the table, hand shuffled games, etc. Playing heads up against an experienced dealer means the cards will fly: you can get 100 hands per hour no problem. If the table is full, and people are drinking, joking around, telling stories, etc. that slows to 50 or less.
    2) Make sure your basic strategy is down cold. What's baked into the WoO numbers is an assumption of a 0.41% house advantage. If you make a lot of basic strategy mistakes your risk of ruin goes up as the house's edge over you increases.
    3) Shop around the casino for games with better rules. Caesar's is a huge property and they have a lot of tables that have different rules. Whatever else you do, do NOT play any game where blackjack pays 6:5.

Don't try to play 8 hours a day either. Have fun with your brother (he's turning 21 after all) exploring the Strip, hit up the clubs, have some great meals, take a trip Downtown if he's never been there, etc.

You should have no trouble at all playing $25 per hand with a 4K bankroll. As stated above, if you jump over that and hit the dreaded dry runs, re-buys will kill you, as at $25 per hand you should be buying in for $600 +/- in order to survive the swings and doubles etc.

To hell with gambling, you guys are going to have a blast doing far more productive work!

    Really good advice above.
I thank thefish for doing the RoR math. I was going to but he beat me to it.
And, at $25 a hand, you can get some reasonable 3/2 games with ok rules.
Make sure of the rules when sitting down as 6/5 and 3/2 tables may be right next to each other on the floor.

$25 a hand for Black Jack and I would say $5 base for UTH.

Walk across the street and you should get good rules for $25 a hand black jack at Harrahs or Flamingo. Margaritaville usually has a good $25 game and great drink service.

    Most importantly have fun!
