Just going over my taxes. I don't have a mortgage and 2015 wasn't good on the extra work side, so my schedule A is going to be about 3 grand short of the standard deduction. FUCK ME!!! I have to itemize to knock off the $21,000 in slips. You have no idea how pissed off I am at the moment.

Can't you claim some gambling losses to offset the wins?

Every last dollar of a slot win should get claimed as a loss. If you ever have a problem from them, I have tons of machine #'s from ,many vegas casinos documented I will pass onto you to create a log, you would just need to create the date and time shit to fill in.

I can offset the 21 grand. So that income is moot. The problem is the standard deduction is $6,300 and I only have about $3,000 in itemized deductions. So I'm losing out on that $3,300. If gambling winnings and losses were a net figure on Line 21 I would net out at zero And take the standard deduction. Instead i have to file sched A to offset winnings and lose out on the difference between the standard deduction and what I actually have as deductions.

I just filed a return with 278 W-2gs. That takes some time to enter. Sorry about your situation Stevie!

And imagine if the lowering of the W-2g win does go down to $800?
Absolutely ridiculous. But in no way surprising.

I was complaining about the 4 we had this last year. All from the same place, by the end I had the numbers memorized.
