Oftentimes I see TR's where people have hundreds of dollars worth of free play. Sometimes they even swing through a competing casino and pick more up there. Are you getting free play offers simply based on your play, or are you also using reward points? For instance, I usually have a balance of about 30-40k reward points at CET. My wife and I choose to use these points towards shows and meals, but I could cash them in for free play.

In addition, I fully admit that I'm a low roller in the grand scheme of things. My last 4-day trip I probably had about $30k coin in over the course of those four days, but usual trips have me rolling through 50-75% of that. My best offers give me only $40 in free play. Is there anything I am missing out on or not doing right to maximize my free play offers?

cashing in points earned isn't really considered FP. Mlife calls that "point play" and it's different for CET also.

real FP comes attached to an offer or given by a host. it's based on past play.

The ratio of reward credits to free play dollars at CET isn't very good for lower tiers. Even for 7 Stars, it isn't 1:1.
There is more value in using your reward credits for restaurants.

$30000 coin in on slots at CET is 6k TC (3k in theo). Was your trip really 4 days or did you generate a gaming day on your departure day? If you actually had 5 gaming days, your ADT is 600. I would think at that ADT, your freeplay offers would be much bigger than $50.

As shifter said, free play normally comes with an offer to get you in the casino, not from using reward credits

Good point, I did play on getaway day, so 5 days. This was last month, so perhaps the offers just haven't caught up yet. My average ADT per trip is probably about 200, 4-5 trips per year. Never have seen an offer more than $50 from CET.

For $200 ADT, $50 may be about right. If your playing VP as part of your coin in, the theo you generate is even worse. It takes at least 3 months for offers to catch up.

My guess is the OP is running most of that 30k through VP. Big Difference. 30K coin in on slots is roughly the equivalent of 200-300k on VP. If you're running 30k coin in on slots, and the best FP you're getting is $50, then you're getting ripped off, especially if your room is at a CET joint...

When I say FP it's offers based on play. I usually don't mention point play in my TR I don't think. I usually accrue several hundred a trip at cosmo I cash/play near the end.

Actually almost 0% of it is VP. Most of it is HL slots at $10-$15 a pull.

Don't feel bad Trigger, as a table player, I get $0 FP from CET or MLife in LV.

From my local in AC I'll get a $125 direct bet from Caesars, a $10 direct bet from Bally's, and a $70 direct bet from Harrahs.

The Borgata will give me $100 in match play.

And finally Mohegan Sun will give me a $500 direct bet once a quarter.
