How was the first time you decided to step up the the dice table and give it a go? Most people seem to think craps is intimidating and it keeps people from stepping up or maybe you tried it and didn't like it. Also, share any stories you had of massive craps rolls or super cold table as a don't player which is obviously what we play dice for.

I used to be strictly a blackjack player mostly because it was the game I knew and the craps table seemed to have so much stuff going on. On one of the trips a few years back I decided to just step up to the craps table and figure out how to play. Did a bit of reading online so I didn't go completely blind, but finally got the courage to step up to the game. Bought in and had a blast at the palazzo. Couldn't keep myself away from the table for the rest of the weekend. I don't even think I played any blackjack for the rest of that weekend. At the end of that weekend I was down a couple thousand and went to the venetian side, bought in and was having a hell of a run. The dealers were taking care of me and helping me out. I let the dealers tell me what to bet and where to press and I was able to get the 4 and 10 pressed to the point where I was actually even for the trip. It helped that I had a massive roll, that I didn't even capitalize on as much as I could have because I didn't know completely what I was doing, but I was hooked on dice.

I now play 95 percent dice and will dabble in blackjack and baccarat and any other game out there. I can't wait to meet up with some of the board members and play dice with them in the future. I also enjoying getting new people hooked on dice so if we are ever in Vegas at the same time, we should roll the dice and we can get you hooked too! But seriously I hope I can play any game with the board members in the future because you know we all love to gamble and love the Vegas life.

Share your first time playing dice stories or massive runs that you have had or why you haven't played it yet!

Back in late 2009 my girlfriend took a ride over to Louisiana for the hell of it. She was new to the states and wanted to see as much as possible. On the way back we stopped into one of the casinos to eat and walk around.

We heard this crazy yelling from the dice tables and I had no idea how to play so I decided to learn. My boss is a big time craps player so he bought me a book and sent me his excel spreadsheet on all the odds.

In January 2010 we took our first trip to Vegas and I was nervous about playing live for the first time. We were staying at the Mirage and the tables were always packed so I wouldn't wedge my way in.

I waited until like 4am when we were walking back to the hotel and we stopped in Bill's...empty as hell. I walked up and told the crew I never played but I'd read up and was ready to give it a shot.

They were super cool and helped me understand. My first few throws were off the table and I blew through $200 quickly. But I was hooked.

It took me a few more times to not be intimidated by the layout and the fast pace.

So glad I learned the game. I wish it wasn't so damn volatile! I'd play 18hrs a day if I could

Haha yea the first time I played I also made sure it was an empty table. I had watched a couple times before but had been to intimidated before. Now I can't imagine not having known this game. I have played 18 hours in a day while in Vegas before haha. Stop to eat and maybe sleep... Maybe haha

Let's play some dice again RockyBalboa! Maybe we can have another long ass roll like we did last time! Just need a couple of those to make an amazing weekend.

Amen! When is your next trip?

Over the years I've had some really nice rolls. Once I found my comfort zone of standing to the left of the stick. My personal longest is a little over an hour at the local. I even asked the stick man to skip his break because I didn't want the mojo to fizzle. He obliged and I tipped him well for that.

In Vegas I've had a couple 40min rolls.

But the one I regret the most is when I was waiting for my buddy and his girl to get checked in at The Orleans. I bought in for $100 to pass time waiting for them and these two old Hawaiian dudes both ripped off hour rolls back to back. They were friends and standing on either side of the stick.

I was still new to the game and my pressing skills hadn't been developed yet. I pressed but very meekly. Everything was moving so fast that I wasn't yet comfortable. So while I did cash out for $1500ish (if I remember right) if that happened now I'd need a fucking armored car to give me a ride back to home base.

Haven't planned it out yet but my next trip will likely be in April. I also prefer to be left of stick or alternatively right of stick. I also don't like a super packed table. Probably because I like a faster paced game. I usually end up stepping up to an empty table and then it fills all around me. People don't seem to like an emptier table unlike me.

Yea a couple 40 minute rolls back to back esp on an emptier table and the table would be needing to order a fill.

    nothing like that.

I'm lucky to say my best roll was when I was pressing and I took them for 100k.

but usually you get those good rolls when you're messing around and not really doing much and you want to shoot yourself.

Haha yea that's what I thought. Dumb me. All I know is that more people should play craps. I probably need to play more baccarat
