Thought it would be a good idea to start this thread since this is a new board and I'm sure people will come here looking for advice. So yeah, post your favourite Hotel to stay at and why and then maybe give a list of where you've stayed so people can compare your favourite to them and ask questions if they're curious.

My favourite hotel to stay at is The Linq. I've stayed there four different times from November 2014 to January 2016 and I love it more each time. The comp rates are low because of the bad rep the IP gave it, so you can get a lot more for your dollar here than most places. Yes, the normal rooms are on the small side, but I've been lucky enough to have a luxury room or a suite every time I've stayed and both have been more than good enough. The casino selection wasn't great at the beginning but has really improved. The return of their poker room is also a nice addition and gives the option to play a quick, cheap tournament when you don't feel like pounding the tables and slots. Aside from the casino, it's all about location. I love being a 5 minute max walk away from Flamingo, Harrah, Cromwell and Caesars, all places I love to gamble, while Paris, Ballys and PH are also a not-too-far walk away. The Linq promenade also offers GREAT food options at good prices, such as the Yard House which is one of my Vegas favourites. If anyone on this board ever needs help with the Linq or has any questions, I'm you guy!

Other places I have stayed and dates I stayed there:

Planet Hollywood (Sept 2009, July 2014)
    Flamingo (Sept 2010)
    MGM Signature (Sept 2012)
    Mirage (May 2013, October 2013, April 2014)
    Vdara (May 2014)
    Linq (November 2014, March 2015, July 2015, January 2016)

I've been going to Vegas since 2009 and I'm currently 28! Trip 12 is expected to be in June, just waiting on others for an exact date!

I lost count long ago how many hotels we've stayed at over the years. Gotta be 30??? I should try to re-create the list. We don't roll at the Mansion level of some here, not even close, but we do OK. I'd guess at some level our fave would've been the "bridge" suites at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas. For a place still in business, the two-bedroom Vista Suites at the JW Marriott probably get the nod. For a "regular" ROH room it is hard to beat Red Rock and M, and Four Seasons.

I really loved the new Bally's Jubilee rooms. I personally think they are the best value on the strip.

Stayed in a lot of them, but not the high end places. Usually only there to sleep from 4 am-till 8 a.m., so paying for the luxury of a nicer place has always been secondary.

Until last year had not stayed Downtown since the 1990's.

By far the most nights has been in Harrahs, and the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is hands down my favorite degenerate gambling spot, but the rooms are not great. I always liked the mid-strip area and Harrahs/IP/Linq was always a good spot to stay. I casino hop like no other, and always like the back Paradise street access to Harrahs and IP's valet.

My first stay was at the Aladdin in 1988

Here are the other places I've paid for a rooms at. Also have stayed at some hotels in Vegas on occasion when hotels were booked up and had no reservation made during a spontaneous road trip from Cali.

    Gold Coast-(a lot)
    Harrahs (a lot)
    Imperial Palace (a Lot)
    Orleans
    Luxor
    NY NY
    Las Vegas Hilton
    Flamingo
    Tropicana
    Mirage
    Debbie Reynolds Hotel and casino
    Barbarry Coast
    Bills Gamblin' Hall
    Golden Nugget
    Binions
    4 Queens
    Fitgeralds

    D Casino

We have visited Las Vegas about 55 times since 1995 (all but 5 visits have occurred since Jan 2000). My longtime favorite Las Vegas hotel is the Four Seasons. Since 2000 we've stayed at the Four Seasons at least one trip (and sometimes multiple trips) per year. My favorite suite at the FS is the Sunrise/Sunset suite. We have also stayed at the MGM Skylofts and Aria Sky Suites. I love everything about the Sky Suites. I enjoyed the Skylofts, experience but the décor is stuck in the 70s and the MGM Grand isn't my favorite casino. We also stay at least one trip/year at Delano (formerly THEhotel), and have stayed a few times in Mandalay Bay rooms (which is a distant 3rd choice for us for accommodations on Mandalay Bay property). On our first trip to Vegas in August 1995, we stayed in a Jacuzzi suite (back when there were jetted tubs in the suites) at Luxor. I'm only 5'1" and managed to bump my head on the low angled ceiling over the tub. We've also stayed at Mirage, Venetian, and a handful of times at Bellagio.

I mainly stay at Mirage or Caesars. I like the center strip location. I have a great host at Mirage but they no longer offer pai gow tiles which has made me shift a lot of my play to CET.

I have stayed at the following places:

    MGM Grand
    Paris
    Ballys
    Flamingo
Linq ( I stayed when it was imperial palace)
    Harrahs
    Stratosphere
    Treasure Island
    Mirage
    Caesars
    Cosmpopolitan
    NYNY
    Excalibur
    Luxor

Mirage (first stay plus three other times)
    NYNY
    Bally's
    Harrah's
    Venetian
    Palazzo
    Wynn

I love the Mirage and while it's been a couple years since I stayed there I'll be there for two nights at the end of my MM trip. Love the Tower Deluxe rooms on the 24/25th floor. The small bathrooms suck but they're bigger than the regular rooms ones. Just something about that place I really enjoy.

NYNY wasn't great but it was serviceable. Hated the fact we needed a fucking Sherpa to get to the rooms. I don't recall which tower we stayed in. It wasn't the one furthest from reception but it was damn close. I don't like the south strip area for stays. My girlfriend also fell asleep once and locked me out. Went up to nap while I was playing craps and after 15min of calling on the cell and hallway house phone and beating on door she finally wakes up. As I'm contemplating pissing in a hallway trash can.

Ballys and Harrahs were twice each for solo trips. Perfect because of location and I didn't care about much else other than that and they were free.

After all that I got hooked on the V/P teat and I've been sucking at it ever since. Outside of a Wynn stay that was supposed to conclude at Palazzo but I had to split early for a family illness.

Palazzo is my favorite by far.
