I like Gustav's at Paris also - good service & drinks, and it's a fun atmosphere at night with the music from the lounge.

I liked the bar at Harrah's by the poker tables, but they've changed it to a larger L-shaped bar by the craps tables. A good people-watching place now, but the drinks were teeny & weak.

Mirage lobby bar with a ticket system is actually an upgrade! Last time I sat there I put in $100 and asked for a beer and he charged me. They didn't comp at that bar. I was pretty pissed and hit cash out on the machine on the spot. Fuck them charging me for a Miller Lite at an empty bar in the middle of an afternoon. Was about 3-4 years ago and I'm still upset!

Despite my tirade against the Mirage Lobby Bar, the Mirage is on my list of fav bars.

    In no particular order:

    Tag Bar
    Mirage Sportsbook
    Flamingo Hooker Bar (Bugsy's)
    Bellagio Baccarat Bar
    NYNY Center Bar

Honourbale mention to Stage Deli!!!! Two Royals in two trips and the Progressives used to start at $1500. Those progressives are no more. And I can no longer rub elbows with pimps, hookers, and probation officers as I will not play there anymore. I will miss hearing Metallica while I am playing vp.....

@Gaggles I didn't know the Stage Deli at MGM had VP! Lol, I do know the Stage Door behind Flamingo has $1 hot dogs and more parolees than you can shake a stick at. How you did not get robbed in parking lot after visibly walking out of there with at least $1500 cash still astounds me.

I hope you purposely mentioned "Honourbale mention to Stage Deli". That's awesome!

I am really new to this VP thing. My last trip was my first experience with some VP Bar playing. Spent many hours at NYNY Center Bar getting overserved while enjoying the numerous random hooker visitations and occasional odd couple neighbours. I intend to spend some time there next week, as well as hit up Tag Bar. Maybe try that Root Beer Brew that gave Macker heartburn?

Thanks. I stepped up to dollars last week and couldn't hit something similar at that level. But I haven't given up.

I spend 75% of my gambling time at video poker bars. Although the pay tables are shitty, I file the losses under my drinking budget!

Great cocktails are my number one concern. The cosmo bars have been my favorite for the last few years (particularly the now closed book and stage). I need to start branching out and this list is perfect.

I typically sit down and say "your pick, whats your favorite cocktail to make or one you have been wanting to experiment with, i prefer bourbon." If that goes well (it normally does at cosmo), I dont leave until I am struggling to stand up! If they aren't into it, I have an old fashioned and then find a new bar.

My favorite vegas night was at book and stage right when it first opened. I mentioned something similar to above and she smiled, reached under the bar and showed me the book she brought in the night before. It was a book of strictly bourbon cocktails that she had been wanting to try. I dont know how I made it to my room that night!

Book and Stage used to be my favorite as well. Back when when Heather was working there she would come up with some crazy drinks that would get you feeling good pretty quickly. Now it's probably TAG for the beer selection
