I would generally agree, $5 or $10 tip seems to make them come back fast. That being said it doesn't work if it's super busy because their sections is packed. Works best for me in the afternoon or late night, when the their sections are more spread out. 4AM with a $10 tip and a keep them coming, with a $1 usually results in drinks almost faster than I can drink them.

I remain an enormous fan of Lift Bar, at Aria, but I've also spent a long time cultivating relationships with the bartenders there. I'm disappointed they've recently downgraded from 9/5 to 8/5 on JoB, but I have zero issue getting drinks faster than I can drink them, including craft cocktails (many of which I happen to think are better than what they have at Cosmo, if you ask the bartenders for recommendations), and on more than one occasion have been offered, say, Stoli Elit vs. whatever other vodka they have on hand. Add in plenty of TVs and live music, and I can hang out there all day.

I prefer sitting on the casino floor when playing VP. I typically stay at Wynn/Encore 7 nights so I make it a point to get to know the servers early and tip well. By the 3rd day I sometimes have drinks arriving without asking when I sit down. It also depends on the server (the gift of gab also helps).

I'm a big fan of Bellagio sports bar. The bartenders are great and I like the proximity to both the sports book and poker room. Individual progressives on each machine usually means there is one or two pushing $2k for a $0.25 Royal. Plus they have STP inside the "horseshoe" when single line just isn't cutting it.

Gustav's at Paris is one of my favorites as the bartenders there are usually fun and outgoing. When I play vp at a bar my plan is to enjoy some friendly conversation while having a few drinks and if I win a few bucks all the better.

I can confirm the sports book bar in Cosmo is not on the ticket system as of last week. Never a problem finding a seat here either. A couple of my favorites.

    1. Cosmo Sports book
    2. Queue bar at Cosmo (tougher to find a seat though)
    3. Rouge at MGM (busy times tough to find a seat, but bartenders are always quick with pours)
    4. Whiskey down at MGM, great size bar, lots of room to spread, not a ton of seats though, recommend getting here a bit early.
    5. Back bar at Paris, sort of hate the seats where you sink down, but with band here, nice spot to feel like you in the middle of the excitement.
    6. Upstairs bar at D. I like the progressives on the machines, and service is always quick, usually a bit easier to find a seat then at Longbar and BP pays 2 to 1 on 2 pair, vs at Longbar
    7. Luxe Bar at HR, as Smartone said, the best bar for VP at HR in my opinion, good bartenders, lots of space, and machines are typically kept in good condition.

I don't drink while play VP, but I thought Bond at Cosmo is cool. They have dancers at night, some of them are pretty good.
