Favorite VP Bars .. that is a tough one to pick just five. I can pick my number one and that still has to be Whiskey Down at MGM even if they don't have DSTP. My favorite DSTP bartop would be at the Rio, only because I haven't found it anywhere else. Beyond that, any bar that I can play VP at ... is good by me.

 

I think vp bartops are best for the fun player who enjoy's the atmosphere, likes quick drinks and isn't concerned with paytables.
If you are more serious sit at a VP bank and just tip good to get fast service with better paytables.

 

At aria i would give a big tip and see a girl every 10-15 min.
If i gave a small one dollar tip it was closer to an hour.

At Palazzo last trip it was like 6am and I'm shooting craps and had to go to the bar close by the tables to buy my own beer be used I didn't see a waitress in forever. I even said to the pit boss that they were costing themselves money since I was sober and making smart decisions. He laughed.

 

No i find I slip them the odd 5 or 10 and mixed in with some 1 dollar tips and they give stiff doubles and generally get awesome service.

Meh I am sure someone smarter than you and I ran the numbers and figured this was better for them. Does it ruin the experience yes. But at Bond and Chandelier at night (weekends) I always had a hard time finding a spot, most of them were taken by people paying $15 - $20 a drink and not playing. Or people when it was packed throwing a $20 down, playing a few hands and getting drinks playing when bartenders looked since it was so busy barkeeps probably did not notice.

Not that I agree with it or that it is not shitty. But honestly for me it does not affect me, I usually play continuous and I don't have more than a drink every 15 minutes anyway..

If Boars Head did it now.... it would make no sense.
