Outside of sushi, this may be my favorite meal in Las Vegas. It soothes the hungover soul. What are your favorite places to get it? Any variations you've tried and like better than the original?

My two favorites were the traditional at Payard in CP, and the crab cakes benedict in Mon Ami Gabi. I'm making it a goal to try the short ribs benedict at The Henry this trip based on so many pictures I have seen posted.

Believe it or not Aria Cafe has some pretty good Eggs Benny. I also like them from Mon Ami Gabi.

Man, the first and only time I had bennies at Peppermill the hollandaise had a nice cadaver hue to it and went down like 100 grit sandpaper, or so it seemed if I were inclined to eat 100 grit sandpaper.

I like a locals spot out in Summerlin, Omelet House (different Omelet House). Grill room at TPC Las Vegas, too.

I know I had the crab cake benne before. Everything they have there is good to great, never been disappointed, the portions are 'real' sized also, not skimping on portions at all!

I'll give you the large! I go with stuff they can't fuck up readily -- ham steak, eggs, omelets.

Yep, one can have a restaurant citing 458 say great and an equal amount will say horrible. Maybe the chef was in the process of sanding his walls at his house the morning you went there???

BTW, I looked up the Peppermill on Yelp, they have 1,888 reviews and a solid 4 star on the rating. Although, anything can happen on a certain visit, I found when a restaurant has thousands of reviews and the darn near majority are great (4 and 5 stars), the place is solid. I have eaten there at least 20 times, never a problem. I don't know anyone there or their history, its been around a while though.

Thanks, I don't ever remember seeing that on the menu. I'll try that instead. Much more convenient, and their patio is great.

It's not on the menu. They offer it as a special. Mon Ami always has a benny special and crepe special.
