Hate to see this @B S. I didn't think he would leave. This is a huge kick to the nuts for the Thunder and okc area.

Yep, it's consumed my morning. Shit news.

Makes me think Russ will leave next year, too.

    Rebuild mode?

    Awesome for my season tickets.

Worse move than LeBron to Miami. I didn't think that was possible.

I understand when players leave for the money but he is the franchise and would have been paid in okc. Plus with his restaurant and other programs he has in the area it makes no sense to me.

Uh, maybe because he sees the point and benefits of winning a title?
What is the down side besides never being able to walk unaccompanied in OKC again?
He knows Dravon Green and Steph from way back and Jerry West made a good case.

I can think of plenty of reason why this would make sense. Living in Bay area vs OKC is a good enough reason alone for departure. Having a better chance of winning doesn't make it any tougher. Maybe Westbrook is leaving next year as well and Durant already knows it?

As a looooong time Warrior fan, I'm ecstatic!!! Why wouldn't he wanna get outta the hick town of OKC and go to a major market? Though I do acknowledge the town was good to him and he was good for the town, their actions of burning jerseys, etc. demonstrate once again how fickle fan loyalty is and why each player needs to look-out for themselves!

On the basketball side of things, I'm concerned the Warriors STILL lack a big body or 2 to bang with the Stephan Adams and Tristan Thompson's of the world. KD certainly provides some needed "length", but he's not gonna be hangin' out underneath. Also, this isn't just "adding" KD to what the Warriors already had this past season. There's going to be major changes in bench personnel now that basically the rest of the team needs to be guys with minimum contracts and lastly, the Warriors game relies on swift ball-movement and KD's been more of an "isolation" guy to this point. Can he play that way? I dunno, but I'm sure the Warriors have thought of this, as well as overall team chemistry. I think Steph, Klay and Draymond will be far more amendable to passing the ball to KD than Westbrook ever was, but he's gotta learn to pass it to them too... we'll see???

BTW... I think Westbrook is an ABSOLUTE incredible NBA talent... I LOVE to watch him play, but I'm not sure he's ever gonna be anything more than an Alan Iverson type, who can ALWAYS get his, but what about the team concept.

Hick town... have you ever been here? Could have made your point without insulting an entire city. Yes, SF is on a larger scale than OKC. One thing to know about KD is he is a gym rat. In season he is at home, gym, games or traveling. In his off time, which was rare, he could travel anywhere in the world. The city he plays for doesn't matter much. It will be better for his marketing, yes, but not that much better.

    Re: burning jerseys

A few fans, and by a few I saw 10 or so videos, do not represent this fan base. Any team will have those fans. People handle their grief different, throw in a day off work and drinking and it escalates. The sane fan is mostly sad and confused, by KD's words and actions of the past. Something changed so he decided to take the path of what should be the least resistance to a championship.

Also, the sane fan that's chill is not getting media recognition that the crazies will get. We realize that losing KD is bigger than simply him being gone. He was our best chance at a championship. Now we have to face being a mediocre team, which is not something the fans have become accustom to. We will get over it and we will hopefully be contending for championships again in the future.

I hope GS stays healthy, that was the biggest detriment to OKC over the last three years.

    Enjoy this.
