Long flight from east coast and I try to book earliest flight for maximum Vegas time.
Start with a Bloody Mary at airport and a couple of pops on the flight. Still ready to hit ground running but based on luck and more booze it could be an early night.

 

I may have one or two on a plane for a 4 hr flight, if I have a SW voucher, in truth though it doesn't really interest me to drink on the plane.

 

My last two trips to Vegas, which were both first class, I got absolutely bombed. On both those trips, they actually ran out of vodka (one trip was when they served Finlandia, and the second trip was Tito's). In hindsight, my overindulgence was a mistake. Getting off of a 4 hour flight, hammered, with a real itch to gamble is a potentially lethal combination. For my next trip, I intentionally booked coach in the hopes that I will drink significantly less. We will see if my game-plan works.

I spent 36 hours in Vegas this past weekend. Generally, I take an early flight out and start drinking at the airport.

This past trip I took a late afternoon flight and I only had one drink and that was on the plane. I still passed out pretty early which is probably due to the mai tais I had at Carbone but I was not as drunk as usual. I also you usually need a day after my trip to recover. I didn't this time and I think it is because I didn't over do it that first day. I think from now on I am going to do this.

At BWI, they have a place that serves crab flavored Bloody Mary's. I might have one tomorrow morning.
