I absolutely do a buffet but it's usually only something like Wicked Spoon at The Cosmo.

I have no idea why people rate buffets in Vegas so poorly. I've eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in Las Vegas and enjoy them just fine but I certainly love to buffet for breakfast. Our typical routine is eat breakfast at a buffet 9-10am or so usually Bellagio, Cosmo, or CP buffets then eat at a fine dining restaurant for dinners. The 3 buffets I listed have some delicious options, can't say a bad thing about any of the buffets mentioned. I also like Wynn, Mandalay Bay, and Aria buffets.

You seem to be saying what a lot of us are saying here: a better buffet for brecky works, but not for dinner.

Agreed. And I think most would acknowledge that the higher end lunch/dinner buffets have good food as well, the problem just becomes value. For the $50-70 they charge you can get a much better meal, with a much better atmosphere at a plethora of restaurants in Vegas.

For breakfast, it is going to run you at least $20pp at the coffee shop for breakfast by the time you get your eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast, coffee/juice and throw in the tip. You can get most breakfast buffets for around or under $20.

I used to do buffets during my early Vegas trips, but didn't start again until last year when I was at Aria for a convention. I think I had some Mlife comps and needed a place for lunch... well- Aria's buffet was awesome. So good, in fact, I went back a few weeks ago while staying at Cosmo. I also tried MB's lunch buffet but Aria's (in my opinion) was much better. Huge selection and great atmosphere.

I'm staying at Bellagio in Nov. so may give their's a try, but I've heard it isn't what it used to be....??

Put me in the "not really" camp, but if I were to pick a meal to Buffet, it would probably be Breakfast because I like a cooked to order omelet, a little smoked salmon, and fruit. A big turn off is the long line, I would rather have McDonalds than wait more than 15 minutes as the Diamonds, Platinums, and 7 Stars skip the line. No class envy here because in life there's no free lunch, everybody pays in one way or another.

Gotta love king crab legs and prime rib :)

The Wynn seems to be the best buffet, followed by Aria ....I need to try that Wicked Spoons at Cosmo though.
