I know many do not like to eat at buffets. I can understand when I see some of the lesser quality buffets.

But there are many(at least some) better quality buffets in Vegas.

I like the casual atmosphere in a buffet. I also like to eat so I can chow down. When I was married we did more restaurant type settings, but good buffets too....

How about you ?? Do you like buffets, especially the higher quality buffets.?

If we buffet it's breakfast, but even that's been years.

Rather eat something that is cooked to order. Plus, I prefer quality over quantity. For $25 they charge you for a lunch buffet. I can go to Julian Serrano and have 3 or 4 tapas and a drink for about the same price.

    Same here...

We aren't big breakfast people, so typically if we eat anything, it's something quick from Starbucks or Subway. However, my in-laws are big breakfast people and love to get the breakfast buffet, so occasionally we may join them. Really, a sit down breakfast at a cafe runs you about the same as the buffet by the time you add in your drink, tip, etc. and there's not a huge difference in the quality of the food, I mean it's breakfast for christ's sake.

As for the other meals, when we first started going to Vegas, we had a few dinner buffets on some of the promos like the Wynn's and what not. And while I agree the quality of those buffets is actually pretty decent food, the reason we don't eat there anymore is because for 50+ dollars pp, I can go get a much better meal in a much better setting/service for about the same price if not cheaper. You really need to either love grazing (having a little bit of everything) or have the appetite to eat a large quantity to make a buffet a value proposition.

I learned a long time ago that I prefer quality over quantity (only took one all-inclusive vacation to figure that out!), so buffets really don't do anything for me.

I generally like to do the breakfast buffets. They suit me well as I love breakfast food, can eat a fair bit in the mornings, and like doing them a bit late and skipping lunch. They are also trickier to screw up.

Dinner buffets I mostly avoid. The inexpensive ones are generally pretty nasty, and eating pretty nasty in volume does not appeal.

The expensive ones are priced almost like a sit down meal. And a sit down meal has better atmosphere, allows time for conversation, and has items that are paired together.

In around 20 Vegas trips, I've never been to a buffet. I'm not against them and have planned to visit one in the past, but I never follow through.

I think that in the back of my mind, I know that I would absolutely stuff myself to the point where I'm tired and didn't have room in my stomach for more alcohol, which would be a tragedy.

Only when I'm with the guys. And then only brunch for me. Last trip I made them do the Border Grill Brunch. $35, AYCE, everything ordered off the menu and made to order. A great meal. Will be a regular stop when I'm there on a weekend. I refused to go to the Mirage buffet for dinner a couple days later and did far better trying out "The Still", in the old Revolution Lounge space.

We are in the breakfast or higher end buffet group now as most others have said. Although I do like a decent seafood buffet. After years I have finally gotten to the point where I eat my meal and leave. My wife has always been able to eat like a rational person, and i would think that we weren't getting value. All you can eat is just a marketing slogan, not a personal challenge.

Since we are not 'foodies' when we do go to the nicer buffets, I enjoy trying the types of things that we would never make at home, and I would be hesitant to order as a main course.

I use to buffet about 20 years ago but lately I can barely eat a lot. I have gone to Wynn Buffet and Wynn CC Jazz brunch and Bacchanal at Caesar's and it is good for a quick bit since I don't have to wait in line and can get a table quick.

I think since I'm older and don't want to stuff myself at the buffet, I don't go to them much but I will say the Dimsum Buffet Wing Lei had for Chinese new year was really good. Too Bad they only have it for two weeks out of the year.

I / we do not buffet, as we just do not want to overeat like that, which tends to happen if visiting a buffet
