I was looking at the Wizard of odds craps survey and "Casino Royale" offers 100x odds bets.......

I've only played craps maybe 10 hours tops and bet the Don't pass and lay close to maxodds on the 4 & 10 and low odds on the 5 & 9......

I realize with a $5 don't pass bet and a 4-10 is rolled on the come out roll that I can bet $500 and if win get $250.....

What is the frequency rate that the shooter 7's out before a 4 or 10 is rolled...percentage wise....If the percentage of 7 out is great, why don't more people do this.? Thanks

    appx 2/1 that shooter rolls a 7 before a 4 or 10, hence the 2/1 odds on the payout. 3 ways to roll a 4, 6 ways to roll a 7 (2/1)

100x odds means you can win 100x. So if you're playing the don't for $5 and the 4 or 10 come out, you can lay 1,000 to win $500.

Odds are true odds of that actually happening, so it's a bet with 0% house advantage (except for the original $5 line bet which has a small HA). Same thing with the inside numbers.

By the time you factor in 100x odds, the house advantage on that $5 line bet is minuscule and probably the smallest of any game in the casino.

FYI- Cromwell also has 100x odds and much better looking booty walking around vs the casino royale. They probably don't have $5 very often though...

Variance and bankroll. To be properly bankrolled for playing the don't side and laying huge odds, you have to have a lot of cash on hand. Add in some bad variance and it can turn ugly quick.

A lot of guys justify playing with a smaller bankroll because "it's the best bet in the house", or "it's just a $5 table" etc.... But when they hit a cold streak they find out just how volatile it can be and how quickly it can chew up a bankroll if you're under capitalized. I know because I've been this guy.

My friend hard4 is exactly right. Most people think you can bet only the 100x but it's about what you can win. Hence 1000 to win 500 on the 4 and 10 with a 5.00 don't pass bet.

I played from the dont's at Cromwell again last night. Table was $5 and 100x odds.
I agree that you must have a large bankroll to handle the variance when playing dont's and max odds. I had 15k.
5 PSO right out of the gate. Pass line bettors got killed. Gave some back mid session but left up a chunk.
Good game. Will play again tonight.

Nice - that's awesome. What's your strategy? I'm assuming DP with full odds is a given. Do you make any DC bets?

I only play the don't pass. Avoid the DC as I would want to load those up with odds money as well and then I have too much money on the table.
A long numbers packed hand would then kill me.
