    Hi All,
My last few trips I have dabbled in the Dark Side. I did pretty good at a few sessions and not so good others.

All I did was bet $25 on the Don't pass line and then layed odds only when the point was 4 or 10. I didn't bet the middle of the board.

I kept my mouth shut as to not anger the pass line bettors, and one session quite a few other players joined me on the dark side after a while. I don't like risking double money when laying odds, but getting only half my money bet when a seven is rolled (after the made point) is good if it happens more often than not.

Do you ever venture to the "Dark Side" ?

That's pretty much all I play. Odds are in your favor 2:1 after the come out. If you want to avoid the come out roll play the doey/don't Like I do. Say 25 on the don't and 15 on the pass line. 2,3 come up on the come out roll you win net 10 bones. 12, well I'm willing to take that chance after all we are gambling. 7, 11 lose 10 bones. But after the point is established you can wager up to 150 in odds. That 4 and 10 will net you 85 bones plus you get back your 175 bones that was your orig wager when the 7 shows up which it always does. Picking up 260 from the table is always fun. And don't care what people "think"..

Thanks Packer.....I never thought of that strategy. I will use it on my trip in December. I like the slower pace of Craps compared to BJ once in a while. I usually get a stool and get some good drinks and watch the crazies at the table while I'm playing. I had played regular pass bets and took odds until my last 5 or 6 trips. My first time playing the Dark Side some drunk started cussing me out and as I laughed he spilled his beer accidently all over the table. They had security take him away and they had to open another table while they cleaned up the mess. Thankfully it was afternoon so they had other tables to open...

    Thanks Packer.....

all the time....usually just one bet out at a time... bet 1 unit, if win, bet 1 unit. if lose, up to 2 units, if win back to 1, if lose up to 3....if i get to 3 units on one shooter, i wait for the next shooter.

guy i knew was a bookie and often faded the center and booked odds bets...once a point was made, he'd keep repeating "thinking of a number" he was /is still a real asshole.

We definitely don't play craps the same. BJ is like watching paint dry.

Well, not a slower game but I guess if you are betting the don't with odds only I see it can seem slower. Some call that boring. I say a win is a win. Be careful your BR can go really quickly playing the don't. You need lots of ammunition..

I'm curious...are you also doing the Don't Come? That seems like it could get very dangerous. I flat bet the Don't/Don't Come on every roll and have lost 50+ bets before a single 7 came out. The last time this happened to me, just a few weeks ago, the roll included 6 8's in a row and several more 8's interspersed with other numbers. I stopped counting after the 6 in a row, but at least 10-12 8's came out before a 7 on that one roll.

I can see this working most of the time though if you aren't doing the Don't come, but things could spin out of control quickly if you are.

Pt can answer for himself but I believe like me he doesn't play the don't come. I personally try the modified iron cross for one roll and Martindale it if need be only on the come out roll. I try and get that one winning bet and only of I'm up. Otherwise only don't and up to full odds for me. If that makes sense. Lol

if table min is $25 dollars does that mean you have to do a flat bet of 25 or can you use some of that money as odds bets.
