I'll be staying at Aria for 5 nights later this year, but I see that The Cosmopolitan is next door and I thought I might visit the Cosmo....

    Are the casinos similar?
Is one casino more lively than the other.?

    Is drink service similar.?
Is one buffet better than the other buffet.?

They both seem to have the same rules for craps and BJ...
Is getting comps relatively the same for both properties?

Is it an easy walk from Aria to Cosmopolitan?

Which casino vibe do you prefer and why?

Different feel in casinos. Cosmo is more trendy, young, and hip. Aria is more sophisticated and older.

    Similar drink service.

Blackjack at Cosmo blows. Double deck is hit 17. Finding a 3:2 s17 isn't easy. Aria has multiple pits of better blackjack.

    Craps is the same

According to Wizard of Odds both casinos have the same BJ odds, unless this has changed.

6 deck rules are virtually identical. Someone else can jump in if I am incorrect as I haven't played at Cosmo in a bit but their double deck was H17. This was even at a 300 minimum table There are 2 high limit areas. The first floor has one high limit area. Go up a level and the Talon room has additional high limit tables. Talon limits generally are 300 or 500 minimum.

I like playing at both casinos. Cosmo will have a younger crowd, but Aria is no Geezers (Caesars) or Bellagio "old crowd". Both have good places to eat as well.

Cosmo table game theo seems lower than Aria. You can't access online WIN/LOSS STATEMENT at Cosmo. The worst part is Cosmo win/loss statement is inaccurate. I no longer play big at Cosmo for that reason. Aria is pretty accurate. so it can be helpful when tax time comes.

I do enjoy fine dining but not a big drinker. Cosmo has limited fine dining options, so my comp $ is better spent at Aria than Cosmo.

From a construction and materials standpoint, Aria just feels superior. Cosmo is great, but when you look close, they've cut a few corners.....they don't pass the Steve Wynn test.

As far as atmosphere though, Aria is far more subdued, whereas Cosmo has the hotness factor going for it.
