Delicious food but that's not what I'm here to talk about. How do you pronounce the name?

I've always said the China portion like you would the country. But on a couple of podcasts I've heard it as "cheena"-poblano. What is it? Are the people on the podcasts just awful at pronunciation?

Well poblano is a Spanish word. And in Spanish you would pronounce China as cheena.

But it looks to be a Chinese/Mexican fusion place so I would think you'd pronounce it like the country.

Good point about the Spanish pronunciation. I'm upset they removed the chicken torta from their brunch menu. Though still a good place for a meal.

I've always assumed it was "Cheena" as that would be the Spanish pronunciation. Just as I assume it is "hoolian serrano", "haleo" and "eh"...though now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've actually heard those places pronounced. I could be all wet.

Some people really like it. Others don't. I'm in the latter.

I'm not a fan of their restaurants. So, I typically have Secret pizza multiple times a trip.

Holsteins and The Henry are the only two I will bother with anymore. As far as pizza goes I usually buy a whole one to start the trip and leave it in the fridge in the room. China Poblano is a place that has food. Thats about it. "eh" for me was aggressively whimsical. Like cool, the food looks cool, but my dinner and premium pairing was $1500 and none if tasted great.

D.O.C.G. Is pretty good...at least for Caprese Salads and pizza.
