Yeah, you need a connection to get into the Premier Cru chateaux in Bordeaux. Difficult but not impossible. If you've got a good wine retailer in your city that has a top-end buyer, that can help if they do trips, and you're a good customer. Just one route.

Yes. You have to be a good customer. I am not..lol. so I did a tour and went to Chateau Dauzac a Cinquiemes Crus and another Chateau. The visits served their purpose as I was with my dad. The wines were ok. But if you have a favorite that you get cases and cases of, then that would be a visit to make. I enjoyed the tour though. Im off to Lyon tomorrow for another week and the Paris for a week.

Dauzac makes some pretty wines ... But, it's Margaux, pretty is the hallmark! Great pics and great report. Loved reading it. Thank you!

Last I had was a 1999 earlier this year, and it was just in the window I like. I can't drink Bordeaux young. It just wrecks my palate.
