Reading about some of the VB giveaways for concert tickets got me thinking....

I am looking for 4 tickets to a concert and 4 tickets to a show. I am willing to pay a certain price for these tickets. Is there anyone that is willing to get these tickets comped in return for this payment?

I figure it may be a win-win situation. Someone may be able to get me better seats for a better price. I may be able to help you monetize your comps.

It seems like when @shifter gave away the concert tickets he was able to have them picked up at will-call.

    Now for specifics:

I want to surprise the wife and two teenagers.

I am looking for 4 good seats for the first night of the iHeart Radio Music Festival on Friday, September 23rd at T-Mobile arena. I would like to be around $150-$200/seat.

I am also looking for 4 good seats to MJ One on Thursday, September 22nd. I would like to be around $75-$100 per seat.

I am not an MGM player, but a lot of you are. If anyone is interested in this arrangement, send me a PM or leave a comment.

I also welcome any other comments or thoughts about this topic of buying/selling/monetizing your comps... The pros, the cons, what is possible and what is not.

Nobody with any sense will sell comps.

My host knew about my raffle prizes and there was no issue. You can have whomever you want as a guest.

But he mentioned that if I were to sell any sort of comps and they were to find out, it would be permanent blacklist on tickets or extra rooms/suites.

Not anywhere near worth the risk for anyone for tip money.

Understood. I knew it would be a taboo subject. What if they use their accumulated express comps or whatever those are called?

If it were me I would just get the best tickets available. There are still tickets in decent spots for sale. $500 a seat though. Thats not front row.

Those $500 seats don't show up when you choose a qty of 4. All the other tickets seem to be close to the rafters. I'll wait and check the reseller market as time goes on. Since it's a surprise, it's easy enough to just cancel.

Iheart radio concert is the hardest ticket to obtain all year. Least amount of tickets available for comps, and the sharpest totem pole as to which big players get what tickets. If a big player were to actually get good seats to this event, they aren't selling them for $200 each. Shit, the black market / ticket broker market for these tickets would be out of control and a player could sell to them for a much higher price.

Good to know. Thanks. This is my first time trying to attend this event. There are some nosebleed tickets for resale already for below what I can buy them for direct when you add the stupid over-priced "convenience fees" and other charges. I'm not sure nosebleeds are any better than watching it on TV when it airs a month later.
