The trip started out at the OKC Airport. Originally I had planned to take a direct flight to Vegas leaving at 8:55PM and arriving at approximately 11:00PM. I was checking out flights and as I learned there was a small layover in STL I messaged Tring and we set up a meet for me to visit some of the STL casinos…

I started drinking at 1:30 as I waited for my flight to STL. I had one beer at the bar.


That was my first drink of the trip and the last.

On the flight to STL had two Jack and Cokes and watched Mississippi Grind. Good flick!

We dragged Superpocky out with us, literally arms around his neck as all three of us went down the strip. What a trooper! RB, as we called him, is officially a savage.

Trigger asked me what my green wristband was, instead of introducing himself, I was so toasted, I thought to myself. I am in a band. He messed with me, then with his “$5 Footlong” shirt he tells us he is a part of the board.

This was my only play at the Flamingo and I was in a chair rolling the dice. I asked for an electric scooter to get back to PH because my legs were jello… Jesus, the pit boss declined my request. That was what his name tag said. He loved us too.


Jordan and I left Flamingo, I think I was down $100 or so.

We were looking for a fun table and found a girl in a tutu, with a boot (foot surgery), and a few friends around the table. Table appeared to be full, but as we walked up one of the guys said, “you can have my seat.” So we sat down at the $10 min table and began to play $25 per hand. I was right next to the girl in the tutu and she explained they were all out there to celebrate her friend’s birthday. Her birthday friend got too drunk and had decided to pass out.

Fun fact about tutu girl, her sister was there with her. What are the odds of Jordan and me finding sisters again?? Her sister worked for a non-profit out in LA and said she had a flight out in about 2 hours and she needed to go to bed. I said, no, you should hang out with us for a bit… No sense in sleeping when you are in Mecca. She had a toy drive to work,
so Jordan and I donated a black chip to her cause… She said she was going to buy a toy for the kids. She as so excited about the donation, she kept telling everyone.


We were about to head out and I talked to all of them about coming with us to check out the Bungalow.


This was about 5 am.


We got to the bungalow and played some music, checked out Marquee, got kicked out of Marquee… Went up to the hot tub and decided hey, let’s put our feet in.

As me and the four girls put our feet in Jordan is already in his skivvies getting all the way in.

We hung out for a bit drank some drinks and ultimately decided on going down to The Henry for this meal I kept telling them all about.

The two sisters were blown away and extremely thankful for the meal, they said they would not have otherwise tried the Short Rib Eggs Benedict.

Breakfast was about $300, why you ask? We had a bottle of Jordan for breakfast, of course.


One of the sisters had to leave, she said her good byes and the other girls were gone shortly after her.

As they left I walked back with them for a bit to the BJ tables right outside of the HL room. I was feeling like gambling for a bit…

Through this point I was up about $2,300 from Saturday to Sunday morning…

I went and relaxed in the room before heading to Bellagio later with gamesman and Jordan.

This was going into my final night in Vegas and I now found myself down $3,000… Not bad… Just think if I hadn’t hit the HL room at PH…

Or… if I never played at PH?! That would have made this a very successful trip…

Back and forth back and forth can’t remember what Jordan and gamesman did, but I think I was down a couple of hundred.

We went over to craps.

We all three got to roll…

Jordan went on a little roll. He sucks at not pressing. I think at one point he had a $400 Hard Eight… Sadly it never hit.

We all ended up cashing with a little profit. I think I was up $200 on the B at that point so my bankroll was $3,200 for the rest of the trip.

We all went over to play normal BJ now.

We hit up PT and he was over at Cosmo about to hit the HL Room. We met up with him and started to play… I’ll admit I wanted to replicate my afternoon session. I got very very close too…

I had approximately $6,700 in chips on a $2,000 marker, not bad, not bad at all.

I decided I wanted to be up on the trip so I put $1,500 in the circle.

Win that hand and I am up $200 with a full recovery…

I had a 19 with a 5 showing.

Thinking to myself, wow, you did it. Win this hand and tone it down A LOT and you had a hell of a weekend, and won money.

I cannot remember if the dealer got to a 20 or 21, but it was a devastating hand. Crushed me too, I remember thinking at the time, what? Shit! Duck! So close, I was supposed to win that! —Irrational much???

End up donking off the entire stack as the table turned. PT might have been the only one to come out ahead… Here is a monster hand that he won…

Woke up in the room after about three hours of sleep. Started to pack my stuff up and took a shower, it was this morning I had realized how much my body hated me and how much I had destroyed it.

Got packed up had the bellman come and get my bag and I went down to the suite to say goodbye to Gamesman and Jordan. They were both also packing up as I went back down to the lobby to head over to the M&M store to get my kids some colorful M&Ms, the one thing my son wanted while I was in the shop. Took a few pictures along the way.

Got to FaceTime with my kids in the M&M store, they loved it! Let them pick out the M&Ms and I got them all some poker chips as well with M&M people on them.

Went across the street and walked in front of the new arena and Monte Carlo on my way to Cosmo to give it one last crack to win money. I still had seven hours before I needed to head to the airport.

Walked through Crystals on my way over and was slowly getting my game face on.

I got to the table and was ID’d for the first time of the trip at the Cosmo. I look young and had on a hoodie and a backpack, so I was not upset, this time.

Sat down and started off with $1,000. Remember at this time I am down about $10k and I have a $2k Marker out at Cosmo from the night before.

Began to play aggressive at first then I found myself with $3,000. Made the wise choice to step away from the table and go and pay off the $2k marker. Back to the original $1,000, not bad!

I played for bit and John, the guy who I won the $7k with earlier in the trip text me. I told him to come to the HL room and let’s do it again! I gave him my other “Yes, I’m drunk“ shirt. He loved it and put it on right away. We went on a little run and I was hungry. I asked the pit if they could order me a hamburger, I was half joking. They got on the phone right away then proceeded to ask me if I had a butler… Um, no. I chuckled to myself.


They did however send the house butler to Holstein’s to get my a burger. I ducked up and forgot to get a shake.

$40 for two burgers, comped but I threw the butler a green chip for his trouble. I only asked for one so I gave the other burger away. Not even sure if they guy ate it or not.

I couldn’t eat at the table so I went and ate by myself in the middle of the room. It was kind of relaxing.

Went back to the table and tried to recreate some magic. I ran the last $1,000 up to $4,000. Should have been satisfied… as I reflect back on what I should have done. I honestly do not think I had a goal other than to break even on the trip. I might have even risked $9,000 to get that last $1,000. Could not tell you what was going through my mind. I was exhausted, tired and probably not in the right mindset to gamble.

I ended up losing that $1,000 and got out $1,000 more, from the marker we paid off earlier…

POOF!

Jordan had showed up at the table at that point and I walked back with him over to PH. He packed up his stuff.


We spotted the Ms. Universe contestants on the way over and decided to snap a pic. The preaching people with the megaphone and signs call everyone a sinner were also caught snapping a pic…

Final thoughts…

I did not do my touted “$1,000 bet and increased by $500 each win.” This was never a good idea, and I know for a fact I never won ten hands in a row. I talked to some friends and they persuaded it was a bad idea. It sounded fun and it would have been, but I wised up and did not do it. I need to plan better for nights when I get hammered. I need to bring nominal amounts of money if I plan to get blackout drunk. Just enough to tip. I will only gamble large amounts on a clear mind, going forward.

Never met up with my friends from OKC. Almost did one time, but it did not happen.

I did not hit the spa and relax on my final day. Had I been up money this would have been much more likely to happen.

I will never stay at PH again. It was not a good experience for me. Gambling was shit and to get things taken care of took too much work. I am not a high roller, but when things are promised you think they will get taken care of or at least communicated to you, you start to question things. Cosmo treated me right from the get go and they received more of my higher play for that reason. Looking forward to continuing my relationship with Cosmo going forward.

Had a blast with Jordan, Gamesman and dutchvelvet. Constant shitshow with the four of us, even if two of us were the gamblers. I am sure the other two had their fun.

It was also great to meet everyone at the craps shoot. There will be more in the future, although PH may not be the place for it. That is to be determined of course.

I drank and drank and drank. At one point at breakfast on Sunday morning I thought I would need to go to the hospital. That was my last drink of the trip. At that point I switch to the waters and drank my weight in Fijis. I need to make sure to mix that in well going forward. Perhaps the plethora of bathroom breaks will help me keep a clear mind.

Played my biggest hand of my life two times. $2,000 then $4,000. I loved the ramp in play. That is what sessions are all about. Gladly, I won all both hands.

Looking forward to doing it again. It is so much fun to go and do Vegas “solo” but have a group of people who think and act just like you do. Degenerate and drunk, gamblers. 

I recommend anyone who wants to meet people from the board to attend a craps roll meet up or a meet up in general.

 

Love that report. So much detail, so interesting, so exciting. Kudos my friend! I hope I get to hang out with you guys at some point, although my wife is always with me so any debauchery would have to be curtailed in certain ways!
