    Hey Everyone,
I usually play 2 deck pitch or 2 deck shoe games but I just looked at the Wizard of Odds BJ survey and now have a question....

At Treasure Island, and possibly elsewhere, they have in the HL room>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>,

    2 deck stand s17,,,, double after split............HA is .25......

6 deck shoe stand s17,,,,, double after split,,, resplit Aces,,, and SURRENDER..HA .28.....

I like the idea of being able to surrender in the 6 deck shoe, but also in a 6 deck shoe there is a chance of getting 10 ten value cards in a row and/or ten low cards in a row.
In a 2 deck, I don't count, but I do observe, and there isn't as much crazy stuff.... But surrender is a great option..

How about you. HA is basically even,,,,, would you play the 6 deck to take advantage of the SURRENDER option, or stick to the 2 deck...?? It sucks when those 15 and 16 come up against the dealer 7,8,9,10.....
    Thanks.

I hate to surrender ... but I play the percentages ... so I'll do it.

I play and prefer the 2 deck game, so surrender is not an option.

Yep... I surrender. I don't like it either... but it's better than losing your entire bet.

Whenever I'm playing and it's available, I surrender all hard 15s & 16s to dealer nines, tens & aces...but, like others in this thread, I rarely stray from two-deck games.

I slightly prefer the 6 deck over the 2 deck game (almost always the exact rules trade off you present). I prefer the rhythm I can get into with a 6 deck game and the feeling that I can have a longer run on a hot shoe - all mental stuff, not odds or strategy.

And of course, if surrender is available, I absolutely use it. You're wasting away that .28 HA if you don't...

For whatever reason two deck makes me nervous despite having decent success on it albeit small sample size. I'll take six deck with good rules and surrender like a cheese eating surrender monkey all day and all night.

I too prefer the 6 deck with surrender, but won't do it against a dealer 7 or 8 only on 9, 10 & Aces. Even without surrender, i prefer the 6 deck games like @JDVegas because I like pressing and getting on a roll and feel that I can't do that with the constant shuffling.

my favourite game is the DD at Bellagio and I'm on that game most of the time. if I do play 6 deck, I have to admit that I don't surrender like the book says I should.
