Excluding the Wagyu/Kobe cuts, if a steakhouse uses actual USDA Prime beef, and ages it properly, can you really taste a difference if cooked the same way?

The difference comes from cooking style grilled, seared, roasted, etc. Some might like a broiled steak, others might like it grilled over wood.

I bet if you had a blind sampling of a similar cut of beef from all the top steakhouses each one would get similar favorite votes. Its the apps, and sides that separate the steakhouses. And if you really wanna get high end wine lists.

Go to Vic & Anthony's website and print off the distinctive dining menu. That too me is the best deal!

Andiamos is my favorite place downtown, in fact one of my favorite in Vegas.
I would be happy to dine any either one

Their cream of mushroom soup was wonderful. I wouldn't dare try French onion soup -- things would get ugly in the casino later-- I know TMI.

The best steakhouse is simply you place that never varies. It's no good being outstanding this week & mediocre next week is it?
The one downtown place we have tried regularly & it's always good is the Grill in the D but that's just an opinion.

I LOVE French Onion soup before a really good rare slab of beef. I'll have to try MAG. I've never eaten there. Worst steak I had in Vegas was at DB Brassiere. I don't know how you can make a rare filet dry and tasteless but they managed it. I couldn't eat more than a few bites but since everything else was good I didn't complain. Still waffling on which steakhouse ( or new restaurant ) to have our anniversary dinner next month. I love CUT, but we eat there every trip. They season my steak how I like it seasoned...heavy. I wanted to try Joel Robuchon but really can't justify spending that much money on two people and 3-4 hours of valuable Vegas time. Maybe if I win big I'll reconsider though.
