This was the most freeplay I've ever received, and I suspect it was a mistake. It showed up in my offers on the Total Rewards site, and I quickly booked it along with a pricey last-minute flight, fully expecting them not to honor it but maybe give me 10 percent after I threw a fit.

    But they did!

'Course, after playing it through, I dumped it all and more. Maybe they know me too well...

Has anyone else experienced any similar mistakes?

It doesn't sound like it was a mistake.

$4k and two crappy mints? Sounds like they checkmated you.

I completely misunderstood the title of this thread :wacky: and immediately thought of 2 scenarios:
    1. I turned $100 in freeplay into $650 this weekend at Cosmo and donked it away shortly thereafter. (mistake #1, my bad)
    2. Last year at a CET property in AC I tried checking my tier credit score on a slot machine. Got an error message saying that my PIN was invalid. Tried several more times to no avail. Next day, I go to the TR desk and describe my issue. The attendant types in my TR# and then saunters off while muttering something about a supervisor. 15 minutes later (or more, or less) I'm accused of taking advantage of a glitch in their system that allowed players to download a free play offer multiple times the day before. Supervisor goes on to reprimand me for fraudulent activity for which my account has been flagged. Supervisor went on and on with the insults and accusations, honestly, I was almost in tears (and that takes a lot!).

Now, I knew what my offer was, I knew that I downloaded it once and I also know in what increments I used the credit at various machines. I told her that I would not risk my reputation at CET for $x. Was told their computer records don't lie. I asked her to look at my history from the day before and to review the increments of freeplay I used. The look of embarrassment was instantly obvious. She excused herself quickly.

It was a mistake, (mistake #2, their bad). VP of Slot operations confirmed that I was inadvertently flagged and locked. Freeplay awarded for my time and trouble, not enough. POC and phone number provided for VP of slot operations: messages left and never returned.

I got one a couple years ago from Golden Nugget when they did a promo in Houston for their Biloxi and Lake Charles openings. Not a TON, but it was $500 and 2 free nights.

So I'm staying on the strip, but booked the promo at the Nugget just for the freeplay. So we trudge all the way to downtown, "check-in" at the nugget, and go to the promo desk to get the freeplay. I get chips instead of slot play -- five $100 chips -- and head over to roulette. I'm thinking I can turn it into a quick couple hundy in cash at a minimum. Well, I proceed to put $100 on black, and it comes up red. I bet black FIVE STRAIGHT SPINS... And I hit five straight reds.

We were downtown for about 20 mins total. $500 freeplay cost me 2 cab rides . Fun times.

I guess freeplay mistakes can encompass any mistake!

Here's one of those -- I had $150 freeplay at M Resort. A friend was going to be there so I gave it to him, under the regular rules of using someone else's freeplay (playthrough 1x, cashout, then half is yours and half goes to me).

When he returned, he said that he ran through the entire freeplay and lost it all. But he also took cab fare there and back ($80) out of the freeplay.

Needless to say, I no longer gave him any more of my freeplay.
