I'm more of a sports better which is why I prefer to go to Vegas to gamble. However, to make an easy trip I'm going to head to Lake Charles this weekend.

I plan on bringing $1,500 with a goal getting to $7,500 or bust. I'm obviously going to be very aggressive.

What's the consensus best strategy? I'm never played craps much so not as confident with that but fine with anything else.

Should I play BJ and press my wins and hope to go on a heater or run the money through the slots at $10-$25 a spin and hope to hit something?

I think I'm going to a trip report so hopefully it will be entertaining.

I've done stuff like this many times. most recently I ran exactly $1500 into about 160k I believe was my peak (before giving it all back, but that's another story).

it was Bacc, I started with 200-300 bets and pressed heavily on wins. I'm pretty sure I won the first several hands at least before losing. I was pressing 50-100% every time I won. I think I had about 5k in front of me very quickly. then I just kept pressing until we hit an 11 banker run and I pressed up to table max until it broke.

    the key is:
    1. getting lucky - you can't turn a small amount into a large amount without winning an abnormally high percentage of hands.
    2. pressing hard - you can't win a bunch unless you're willing to bet it.
    3. quitting - picking a number you're happy with is fine, but if you don't do that, and you lose a couple of big bets in a row, it's time to pack it up.

if you have 2 days then you can be more patient. if you only have a half day, then you need some good luck, pressing, and timing.

if it was me i would plan on 3 sessions. my first session would be a 750 buyin. id play 10 starting base bets of 75 bucks each. if i win the bacc or BJ hand, one full press to a 150 next bet. win again and do same 150 bet (bank the other 150 in a separate chip stack. If I win this then bank all $300 and move to my 2nd base bet of 75, and repeat, if you lose, go to next base. after you have played each of your 10 base bets of $75, then you count your chips that were banked. if you have 1k in chips, then divide this into 10 $100 base bets, and start again. after working thru 20 full base bets then count your chips. ifbyou have double your money, then take a short break and come back playing 10- 150 dollar base bets.

if you lose the entire first buyin, then take a good break and do a $500 buyin with 50 dollar base bets to times. just keep working and stay fresh.
never chase a loss! your bankroll is not big enough to survive these bigger hits to the bank roll.
    good luck!

Going to be there one night... Probably 12-14 hours of gambling time.

That's a hell of a run. Did you do a trip report for that one?

I think so but doubt I went into that because I lost it all in the end anyway. It was 2 trips ago on the last night. Trying to make a comeback and got greedy and it cost me.

You could try and use winnings on sports parlays? Say you get up $500 go do a 3 leg on spreads to win $3k and be more aggressive there.
