Just got this invite. Small print says AQ avail for single trip 250k loss in last year or rolling 12 month 750k loss.

The prize is an entry into the Big One for One Drop €1M ($1.2M) tourney. Says you can't get cash or promo chips in exchange although I'm sure you could sell the seat to someone for at least $1M.

will have to find out more about the structure.

the last few poker tourneys they've done have been a complete joke.

read one of @VEGASBJ's last TRs to see it in action.

way too many players, total all-in fest from the first hand and then rebuys/addons nonstop.

even the AQ/EQ rounds weren't any different. smaller field, but more expensive rebuys/addons and you had to just to keep up.

the last tourney was a $1M payout and there's no doubt they ended up taking in more than that in rebuys/addons even before you count on how much the participants lost in the casino.

I have no reason to think this will be any different in which case there's no chance I would waste my time on it.

I can understand that. All those tournaments seem to be a joke.

Got the invite flyer this week. It mentioned add ons and rebuys, so another shove fest. Not interested myself.

Agree! I don't get the big tourney invites, but I did do a smaller one at MGM a couple years ago where Brad Garrett was the top Bounty. The tourney had bounties on all the Hosts and allowed for rebuys/add-ons. What started as a free tourney for many ended up costing some a ton! I think by the final round, I was in for 4k. There was one guy at Brad's table that was in for 10k before the end of the first round...if I remember right. Brad was going all in every hand, trying to lose...except he didn't...he kept winning every damn hand...lol. After that tourney, I pretty much swore off any invite poker tourney with rebuy/add-ons. I'd rather pay entry into a real tourney with deep stacks and playable levels. However, For 1.2M and limited number of players, I would give this one a go!

How big of a field is this likely to have?

Last one was a total of like 260 or something ridiculous.

If the structure is like other MGM poker tournaments, where The top XX number of players from the first round, advance to the second, then it is like playing 2 separate tournaments.
