That really impacts me. I've eaten there every trip to Aria, which is a lot.

Wonder if Masa just wants to focus on his new NYC opening. The place always seemed to do brisk business. Definitely a loss.

took the wife there for a belated anniversary last year, was unimpressed with Tetsu not having shrimp on the Teppan menu
    only lobster

and the Shabu at Masa was srsly disappointing at $50...four beef spring rolls in what I can only describe as cilantro broth

    no loss to me

Takayama defintely had some favorite dishes that seemed to have more "effort" put into them.
I always thought the cavernous space was odd. like an airplane hanger.
Uni was as good as it is off the boat in Ventura though.

The fact that it comes at the end of the contract term makes me think that it's more Masa that didn't want to renew. Pretty sure Aria wants him more than the other way around.

great place but thought it was way to big, but they need a sushi place but they can 3 differnt resturant or even a niteclub in thatspace inhouse and make a tone of money.

or a stripclub , they would do great

once nobu at ceasars came i think it hurt them and the fact that it was a 1 to 1 comp at cet also was great, nobu is always packed u really had know who masa was.
