my strategy is fairly fluid. I don't follow one single strategy like repeat or chop, etc. I try to read the board and the various roads and find patterns and hope that they repeat. sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. the good shoes will have 1 or 2 patterns that show up fairly early and you can just ride them until they break.

the best shoes for me have strong patterns that hold true on multiple (all) roads at the same time. these are the easiest to bet because there's really no other option. the worst shoes for me are the ones where there really are no strong patterns and basically as soon as something shows up, it breaks.

    what's your strategy?

Good to see this. As you know, I am a neophyte at bacc, and only play when we are both in town at the same time. I can read a couple of the boards fairly consistently, but not all 5 (?) of them together, or try to determine which board to follow if they are each saying something a little different. I think sometimes that those boards exist for the same reason the roulette board exists - to confuse the hell out of you!!

Glen, when we first met, I liked your $500 bet, and then try to win 5 in a row by parlaying that $500 into a $16k win. Only risking $500 at a time, but could hit a good winning session if you hit a few of these in a show. Of course the problem is winning 5 in a row..............

They certainly don't have the board to help a player.

I haven't figured out a set strategy yet. I sometimes jump back and forth until a see a pattern. Sometimes I'll play one side or the other if it's really uneven. And sometimes I'll do a martingale on losing bets.

I've won and lost at all methods. Most recently, the martingale has worked well for me. But I don't think I ever hit a streak of more than seven.

Martingale is scary though. You get stuck on the wrong side and those bets get big....

    I don't think I could do that.

Lately I've been flat betting my max a lot. The bad part of that is you can't press on a good run. But the good thing is any 4 or 5 in a row you can hit is a big win.

Yep, absolutely scary. I'm not a big better and I hit table max doing it.

Mostly a dice player myself but I like betting the streaks although a choppy shoe will kill you there. I don't really have a set strategy though for when I dabble in baccarat.

Recently I've just been flat betting banker and pressing on long streaks. It was fun for a few trips some I lucked out with some heavy banner shoes but ultimately it's fairly boring and variance gets you.

I play much more conservative. It keeps me alive on a choppy game, but rarely do i turn 1k into 10k. More like 1k into 3-5k.

Much like Glen, I have 10 predetermined flat bets. I will press each win once, and then bank the double win(or lose). Then I start with my 2nd flat bet and repeat I keep my banked chips separate from my flat bets. After 10 starting flat bets are done. I count my stack and divide by 10 and then start again. I play a max of 30 flat starting bets per session. On my last two flat bet starting bets I will press to 4 times, and then color up. Then get a hooker and drink! (or go to the room for more cash, haha)

As for player and banker. I play banker to start a session, then just guess from there. I do look at the board much, and pay more attention to managing the bank roll.

This is how I bet almost all table games, in fact.

I never chase, and the opposite approach to this crazy martingale sh!t

I've played a couple times but reading so many bacc-centric reports has me wanting to take a serious shot at it.

I'm thinking I will use a grand of my MM bankroll to sit down and play a bit.

I sat with Superpocky and he was teaching me it....

Just need to sit with a bacc guru to understand when they flip more than 2 cards etc....

I'm looking forward to understanding it and learning how the players identify when they think a run is coming.

When I played at a local it was fun but I couldn't understand it well enough and would just mirror this Asian dude who was playing yellows

I hit the local out here and used this. For the first time ever I used free hands, the degen in my blood says "you can't win what you don't bet"...

Great thread, love to see different perspectives.

When I play it, I generally follow the streaks. If banker hits twice, I play the bank until a player win comes. Same with the player. I never play every hand using this. Though I'm still fairly a novice baccarat player and am interested in what works for most

Here is a link if you need more info on the MM 1-3 2-6 wagering style Glen mentioned . not sure if it is exactly, probably but close.

since banker is slightly more likely to win, does it make sense just to flat bet banker all the time? also, is banker still more likely to win in non-commission baccarat?
