Who do y'all like in the Masters?

 

DJ? easy pick but he is playing well right now. Speith although he hasn't been playing well, but I think the course suits his style of play.
Darkhorse (somewhat) - Stenson, Rahm, Matsuyama. But of course it will probably some real longshot like Willett that comes through

 

DJ is always up there, I wouldn't count out a guy like Justin Thomas either

 

And I love that big cut he can play. Augusta long has been touted as a r-to-l wheelhouser, but that's a lot of urban legend.

Thomas came roaring out of the chutes but damn he's been skittish lately. If he was a horse he'd have huge blinkers on him. Early season prowess ain't Augusta under the pressure cooker of the Masters.

 

I have to cheer for Hadwin, although it would be impressive if he even made the cut. Good Canadian boy skipping his honeymoon for his first Masters.

Among the likely guys, I'd like to see Rory win.

But I'd say Spieth and DJ are by far the most likely.

 

It took Mickelson a long time to figure out Augusta, of course. McIlroy needs to do that sooner rather than later, I'd venture to say, 'cause it seems to be getting into his head and the longer that goes on ...

My fantasy league picks are due soon, I better sort this out.

 

I'm in a year-long, multi-sport/-league fantasy game. For golf, we pick five guys for each major, add up the winnings, that's your league winner (for that "event"). For each major you pick three from the then-top 25 and two others, and you can't pick a guy twice. For Augusta I went with:

Rose
Spieth
Pieters
Haas

 

Why doesn't this happen in Vegas?!?

I'm in first, but only by $300,000. Pieters is what gave me separation. I'd have monied last year but now it is four-major cumulative.
