    Hey everyone.

I'm planning to take a trip with my wife to Atlantis in October. We've been there a few times in the past, but didn't actually gamble that much and therefore don't have a lengthy gambling history.

I'm working with a host, but she said she can only get me a comped Royal tower room (hoping for Cove).

So here's what I'm trying to figure out. If remember correctly, Royal Tower rooms aren't that great.
    - I'm platinum at Mlife and Diamond at TR. Any suggestions of how to get Cove comped?
    - if I can't get Cove comped, is it worth ~$500/night for the Cove?
    - how are blackjack comps? Typically avg ~$500/hand, so maybe get it comped on the back end.

    Thanks in advance.

Royal Tower is right smack dab in the middle of everything (except the Cain) so it's not that bad. Don't know how the rooms look like, but our "Deluxe" accommodations at the Cove, while nice, didn't exactly blow us away - think of a standard room at the Venetian, with step down living area with couch and balcony. The views were fantastic, but that was pretty much it for the Cove. I think we would have been just as happy staying at a room in the Royal Tower. No clue on how you can get into the Cove on upfront comp as Diamond, but at $500 a hand, you should have no problems covering your comps on the backend, even if you paid for Cove upgrade (which I wouldn't recommend). I was there in April and booked through CET (7* @ the Cove) and my numbers were like this: $431 avg bet, 19:26 time, +$1592.00, 3876 Theoretical. What wasn't covered by the resort credit (if I recall, it was $150 per day) was taken care of by the duty host at the end of the trip.

    Have fun1

    Thanks Ryce...really appreciate it!

Sounds like the Royal is the way to go....better than the Coral or Beach

Location is definitely important too, since things are fairly spread out there.

    Thanks again!

Royal rooms are sorta like a standard hotel room nothing fancy holiday inn express style I would say. I like royal tower since I am a slot player too long of walk to the cove from casino of you want to hit the machines quick before going to do something else.

Before my trip in April, I read on tripadvisor about how far away the Cove was from everything else and how "inconvenient" it was to take the resort shuttle, but i really didn't find that to be the case at all; the walk wasn't that terrible and with the way I eat, taking a stroll doesn't hurt. It's like taking a walk from the Bellagio check-in desk to the front of the Bellagio fountains on the Strip.

    Will do. Thanks man.

I should be back to DC in September, so I'll keep you posted and we can grab some dinner at Mastro's.

That should work. Sounds like the Cove isn't a huge upgrade, so I don't mind being close to the action. We should have a room with a decent view, but probably won't be spending too much time there anyway. Thanks man
