I have some "use it or loose it" airfare (1200USD) + folio credit ($500USD) + food/bev ($300USD) to burn before March 31st for my 7 stars trip. The airfare is enough to get me and the missus to Vegas but it's more about the time that I waste getting back and forth (12 hours each way min w//o delays). Also when I get there I act like a 20 something and don't sleep and drink my face off so I'm usually fucked for a few days after!

That being said, I'm thinking about doing AC again. Caesars specifically cause they have STP in the HL room and the 7 stars lounge there serves bottomless Jordan ;)

The reason I choose AC is cause I can get a direct flight into Philly, and CET will provide a limo to/from PHL (60 mins each way). I can leave the house Friday after work, and be drinking Jordan and playing STP within 4 hours.

The only think I'm on the fence about is Caesars vs Bally's or Harrah's. Anyone want to share any experiences or suggests pro/cons about each?

    Thanks!

Ballys is on the boardwalk and is okay. You can walk along it and hit different casinos if you wish.
Harrahs is over next to the borgata. It's a 10 min cab ride from the boardwalk to Harrahs/Borgata.

Bronco knows way more about borgata than I do.

I'd stay at Harrahs probably but I'd look at the weather forecast and let that dictate what I do.

If it were summer time no question it would be Ballys.

Harrah's is the nicest of the bunch and has some great VP paytables, especially in the Diamond Cove. If you want the boardwalk, I would do Caesar's (the bottomless Jordan would seal-the-deal for me). I only stay at Borgata now (The Water Club to be specific). I just like the clientele and vibe better. Also, the food options are far superior.

Ballys is hole and not worth walking over to but it's connected to Caesars just in case you really wanted to go check it out. At least it was a hole the last time I was over that way.

I haven't been to Caesars in years but that used to be my homebase in Atlantic City. The rooms used to be crap in one of the towers and I really can't remember which one. They have or had the best noodle bar. Don't know if it's still there.

Like everyone else, I've migrated down to the Borgata in the Marina District. Harrahs and the Golden Nugget (formerly Trump Marina) are in that area as well. The Borgata is definitely the class of AC and it's really not even close. But, Harrahs is a decent spot and I like the rooms. You can easily get over to Borgata and the Nugget from Harrahs.

I stayed in a Harrahs wraparound suite last year and it still didn't compare to the Borgata. We ended up going over to the Borgata, had dinner there, saw a show, gambled, and then drank over at Harrahs once we were done.

If you don't care about going outside of CET resorts, I'd probably stay at Caesars if I were you. Access to the boardwalk and they have the pier shops right there for upscale shopping. Easy access to the outlet shops as well during the day, which is directly across from Caesars.

You've probably been told this already, but you don't want to leave the casino at night unless you're cabbing directly somewhere that you can easily get a cab back from. AC is rough town and is nothing like Vegas at all.

I just remember the Wild West was pretty cartoony and awful. I hope they got rid of that.

They shut Wild Wild West two years ago, but have just announced a revamped bar and casino experience. Lipstick on a pig is more like it.

Thanks all, we know what we are getting into with Caesars (we have stayed there before), and we have no interest in Borgata, the Folio and dining credit has to be used at a CET property. So I guess Caesars it is ;)

    Cheers and thanks!
