Likely old news for most, but here's the link:

At the end of the article they mention the 21 VIP suites they are building on the top 4 floors of the east tower.

I just thought about the cosmopolitan class action lawsuit today because I received a $1000 class action lawsuit payment over the weekend from a similar lawsuit involving another chain of hotels. They too were recording California residents without their consent and they settled for $1.8 million. The cosmopolitan settled for around $12 million.

Since I have not previously stayed at the Cosmo, can anyone share some info regarding these top 4 floors? Were these currently rooms that they are now re-doing? or were these floors never built out in the first place? Just wondering............

When the Cosmo first opened, Shifter and I got a tour of some of the upper floor high end villas, but honestly don't remember which tower we were in??

when we got the tour they told us that the top 4 floors on the east tower they never finished out (except for the top floor with the 4 penthouse suites, one on each corner).

so they're finally finishing them out.

I think they are referring to the top payout on certain machines is now up to $1.25, from a previous high of $400k. I do not know if this would include the slots that are linked city-wide for one massive jackpot

I'd guess that doesn't include the linked slots because I seem to recall trying the mega millions there back in 2010-2011.

UCLA - what was the class action for? Like videoing people in their rooms?

I'd like to stay here. The pics of the rooms with the Bellagio fountain views are intoxicating and I love sitting out on balconies and enjoying drinks in cities.

The class action lawsuits accused them of recording people calling from California without asking for their consent. I received a claim form in the mail. I'd forgotten about it until I received a check this weekend from a similar class action lawsuit involving Wyndham. I sent that one in sometime over the summer.

Interesting I didn't know about that. I'll have to read up on it. Why would they want to record?
